On May 14 we finally had our interview appointment, My fiance and I left Santiago a day before the interview date and booked a room at Jardin de teatro just a block away from the U.S Consulate. When we were finally in the line there must of been like 200 people in front of us but the good thing is that your assignefd number makes no difference being tgat everone is their for different purposes and the csll out random numbers, so dont feel like the higher your number the longer is your wsiting time cause it ain't so. Once inside we both felt confident that everthing would be just fine but in these cases you never know" Well, like around 8am they called our number #197 so that we may hand in all of our final documents but then we realized the I had the old version of tge DS 260 form and so we were given a special pass to leave and get it filled out and bring it back the same day. I was so upset but I did what we had to do and so we went had it done and came back in to hand it in at windo... read complete review

We got to the Consulate at 5:40am there was over 100 people in line already. We were told to get into line 2.We were in line outside until 8:30am. We received our number before entering. (Note: I didn't take a purse so I got sent to the front of the ladies lines for security check. Also they separate you from the males, so usually male will go in first and the ladies stay outside)Then we waited for our number to be called.9:30am we were called to a window to turn in passport and police certificate. The women confirmed our names and the city I lived in, then she sent us to window #15 for fingerprints. After that we sat down and wait some more until again our number was called at 11:30am. It was our turn. The window is a little tight for two people side by side, so we agree I would go in front cause I was the petitioner. we were sworn in and the guy asked for my husband fingerprints. He asked a few questions, how many children, ages, how we met, where we met, how many trips, and any phot... read complete review

Its has been an stressful journey but this website has made it much easier. Datboybaeza has help me sooo much and I cannot thank him enough. So....our interview was on 4-22-14 at 6:45am. We were up by 2:30 because we paid a van that takes people from Santiago to the consulate. It picked us up at 3am and we had to go get the rest of the people that had their medical appointments or interview appt. We left Santiago around 4:30am and arrived to the consulate at 6am. The line was pretty long and my fiancé was extremely nervous, but I told him to calm down that no matter what we had our appointment and we were getting in. The "buscones" were on the other side of the street and we never got near them. They did not trouble us at all. When we made the line, a staff member asked for the appointment letter and gave us a number "088".
Before 7am they started letting everyone in. There was one main line and once it got closer to the main door we were separated into men and women. ... read complete review

Fiance Visa (K-1) Consulate Interview in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic April 3, 2014
We are a same-sex couple and may have been the first male couple to be interviewed in Santo Domingo.
We arrived in Santo Domingo on April 1st and stayed at the Jardines del Teatro, which is just a few hundred yards from the consulate. The people at the hotel are very
nice. We had a 2 bed room with kitchen and bath for $65USD per day including tax. It is nothing to rave about, but it fit the bill.
On our interview day, we walked to the consulate and arrived in the already long line at 6:05AM. The physical lines are numbered 1 (ACS), 2 (NIV), 3 (IV), and 4(IV).
They had combined lines 2-3-4 together and you had to wind your way back and forth until you reached the entrance. We finally made it inside about 7:45AM. The inside is
one crazy place. After going through the security checkpoint, you enter the waiting... read complete review
