We got there around 7:30am (interview was at 9:00 am). We didn't see any buscones are outside, and the people got mad.
Don't take any lotion, makeup, any metal, no umbrellas or weapon look alike and no cell phone. I saw plenty of people with their watches. Including myself.
Got through metal detectors fine. "Kind of aggressive with elderly lady she didn't know that she can't take her cell phone" Got number 286. They started to call for the documents (it didn't go by order). We were called to window # 14, (very nice lady) to submit the police certificate. ( didn't asked ask for 2x2 pictures or ds260 comfirmacion" Then we went to window 1 for fingerprints. Then we sat down and waited to be called but the same number for the interview. They called out random numbers, so be alert.
We were finally called to window 18, a blonde, blue eyes short hair man was there mid to late 40s) he was nice but serious. Made us swear. He started with my husb... read complete review

• Arrival/lining up: We arrived before 6. We asked someone official-looking where to line up, and were sent to the non-immigrant line. I figured this was right, because the K1 visa is a non-immigrant visa. When they started lining folks up, we found out that we had to move to the immigrant visa/residency line that was specifically for 6:45 AM appointments. The line was long, but it moved pretty quickly.
• Entering the consulate: When you enter, you need you invitation letter in hand and can't have electronics. When we got to the waiting area, we were given our number and sat down.
• First window/paying the fee: After some time, we were called up to a window. We gave the woman there the following documents:
o A passport photo of my fiancé.
o The DS-160 confirmation.
o The unsigned DS-156 (she would have given us one if we didn't have a copy).
o The Banco Popular receipt.
o The medical results. ... read complete review

we stayed at the crowned plaza hotel and left around 5:45, guided by google maps (neither of us knew the city ) we were able to get to the embassy around 6:30
once there we parked like 2 blocks from the embassy( we paid 5 $ for that ) then you get approach by the buscones as ussual asing you to stample your papers and such, we didnt listen to them, you can see like 3 lines and sighs at the building entrance columns ( tourist, residents) we took the residents one and women are separated from men in another line, do yourself a favor and dont bring anything that you wont need for the interview !!!
once inside the security area you have to empty your pockets of everything and place them in a automatic belt for xray scan, you are asked to go through metal detectors too, after that 2 emplyees give you your number and tell you which area you need to go based on your visa type, only inmigrant visas go inside the building while the rest have an outside area

We left Moca at 445 AM. Arrived to the parking area and 540 because we were pulled over by the policia nacional 😠😠. We walked down from the lot. Lots of buscones saying we needed to have our paperwork stapled and what not. My fiance got a bit nervous but I assured him it was not true. At about 625 the line starts moving. Went through security quickly. We weren't split up as mentioned in in previous reviews.
We get our ticket, lucky 167. Around 7 am the make the announcement to have the letter of the appointment, medical, police certificate, passport and ds160 confirmation together. We go up to window 7 at around 745. We give her the paperwork. She confirmed his address, phone number, my address and phone number, asked for the ds156k, a picture, his birth certificate and asked a few questions if he has been married before, traveled before and if we had mutual children. She gave us a ticket to go to window 31 to pay. We paid the $105 and... read complete review
