on March 17, got to the embassy at 6:50, for a 6:45 IV. the 6:45 line was already entering the building so we went in right away after presenting our IV letter and the VAC appointment confirmation.
Went through security screening (a little less hard than airports)
got #185, entered the room and sat to wait for our number to be call (this time i notice it was in order..)
Lady told us to give her my passport, my IV letter, DS-260 confirmation page, my police certificate and my medical exam results envelope (sealed)
She then went to the back and grab my folder with all the documents that we sent to NVC, and gave me back a few of those...and don´t know why she asked us a couple of times if we have any kids (we don´t)
then back to waiting for our IV (this time i notice # weren´t called in order... randomly instead) which we were surprised of how soon our # appeared at the screen to go to window 18
A very nice ameri... read complete review

The date finally came. My husband had to go to interview alone as for my doctor did not allow me to travel due to my advance pregnancy. So I made sure he has all the evidence and original plus copies of it all. After passing security he got the number 189 day to wait to be called. He said like a hour later they called the number were he was just ask for his conduct report and was asked to sit and wait to be called again. Like 30 minutes later they called him for interview. It was an consul with a old mean face who had a very heavy ascent. My husband said he couldn't really understand her Spanish. He was ask a few questions. When did we meet? How did we meet? What relationship he had to sponsor? If I had any children? And why I wasn't there? Which he gave my dr letter and explain I'm 8 mths and couldn't travel. She congratulations him and ask for pics. He gave her 2 books I made of pics and evidence like travel ticket, call log, cards, chat log, bank transactions etc. she then asked whe... read complete review

Review for Immigrant Visa Interview on Feb 19th 2015.
We were able to schedule our VAC appointments ten (10) days prior to our scheduled Interview at the US Embassy in Santo Domingo.
The process was fairly easy. Once we got to the VAC appointment, which we scheduled it to be one (1) day prior to our Interview. We were asked for:
- US Embassy Interview letter
- DS-260 confirmation page
- VAC appointment confirmation page
They also told us it was advisable to bring two (2) compliant 2x2 pictures for children under the age of 5. As I also was petitioning my stepson (3 yrs old).
Once my husband provided his fingerprints and they took his photo. They gave us both DS-260 confirmation pages stamped with: "Visa Application Center" and that day's date.
Next day we arrived to the US embassy around 08:45 AM, our interview was scheduled for 09:00 AM. We were called to window 6 to give them:
- Stamped DS-... read complete review
