Our interview was for 8:30 and we were on line by 7:30. They let people in by order of appointment time and visa type. The 8:30 line started moving around 7:45. When we passed security we passed a group of people sitting on benches outside, I think they were there to solicit tourist visas. Once in the second building we were handed a number and sat down and proceeded to wait. Around 45 minutes later we were called to a window where our documents were collected. We sat back down and 3 hours later we were called to another window where we had to raise our right hand and take and oath. The interviewer was a white male in his thirties, very friendly. He asked us in Spanish how long we've been together, how old is our son. He looked at our album and smiled. He then told us that due to a past arrest that my husband would have to submit some documents and that once they are submitted that our case will be approved. He also told us that a second interview wont be necessary because our marria... read complete review

We had a great experience at the Santo Domingo embassy. Appointment was on June 3rd at 7am. Didn't have to wait long to get inside. We got our number (64) and got called to window 15 20 minutes later. The lady asked for original marriage and birth certificates and asked if we had an updated police certificate (we did). We gave her the medical also. She opened it and gave us back a cd. she asked for my 2014 tax transcript and I asked her if she needed an updated AOS form (she didn't).
We then went back to our seats and waited like an hour to be called. Finally our number got called to window 13. We had a photo album, passport stamps, and phone call logs with photocopies of everything we sent to the NVC. When I saw the officer, I wanted to start jumping of joy because I knew she would be nice.
She asked (in Spanish) to my husband if he read the immigrant rights pamphlet. Then, she asked us to swear we would answer nothing but the truth.

Our interview was on 6/18/15 at 10am. After reading previous reviews we decided to get there by 9:15 since they do not allow people in if they arrive too early. We parked a block away where they charged us $250 pesos as we walked the block up there were plenty of buscones trying to tell us that we needed several things. We ignored them and continued walking.
We got there at 9:15am and waited on line for about 5 mins, they checked our appt paper and let us in to security. Once we passed security (people please read what you are not allowed to bring into the building). A lady in front of us had her cell phone and delayed everyone else. We exited and proceeded to the building to the left. There we were given our lucky #357. We also met with our friends who also had their cita. We chatted while our number was called.
At approximately 10:45 we were called to window #5. There was an older Dominican lady who asked my husband his name. She asked for... read complete review
