First of all, I just want to say that my husband, (then fiance) and I took mountains upon mountains of paperwork to Santo Domingo in preparation for our Interview. We took photos, documents proving our bonafide relationship, etc. We arrived to Santo Domingo via CaribeTours bus the day before the interview. We got a hotel really close to the embassy and woke up really early, took a taxi, and stood in line at the crack of dawn ready for our early morning interview. We waited for close to 3 hours to be called into our interview window and our interview was literally 30 SECONDS LONG, and I might be pushing it. The young lady who interviewed us was very kind, cracked a joke with us, and simply smiled and told us congratulations, your visa has been approved. We noticed that other folks applying for a K-1 Visa took a long time to get interviewed. My appointment was at 7:00 am, arrives at 06:30, I went immediately check in line, quotation sheet, review, I assigned the winning number 154, made a phyllite as 15 minutes to deliver the documents, I had to box 13, a Dominican boy, friendly ask me, the petitioner did not come? I tell him he could not come, he said ok. I asked the passport, leaf DS-160, scans them and ask for my phone number and my boyfriend, and says it will seek my record, going preparing analyzes, birth certificate, role of good conduct, He tells me to feel the bottom to call me by number.

Our interview eas on Jan 31st, 2017 at 10 am. We got to the embassy at 9:00am and there was a pretty big line outside. We got through the security checkpoint and went inside to the patio and then in to the other building. Once inside we got our number (284). My husband got in line to turn in documents while I had to sit down and wait. Once he got called he handed in the original birth, marriage and police certificates, the envelope with the medical exam results and his passport. Then it was a waiting game again. While we waited for our interview we were watching people's reactions after their interviews...some were happy faces and some were not. Needless to say we were very nervous but prepared for any questions that may arise.
Finally after waiting almost 1:30hr we got called for our interview in station 1. The interviewer was a young man. He took my husband's fingerprints and swore him in. This was our interview:
