Took about 3 hours of waiting in line and waiting for your number to be called but everything went smoothly. Consular asked us a few questions and then told us we are approved.

My interview was scheduled for 7:00 am and my fiancee and I got there around 6:40 am. We parked in a parking lot near by for 250 pesos. We proceed to walk to the consulate building. I asked the security guard where is the line for K1s and he pointed at the shortest line.. We got in, passed security and were assigned a number. We were called into a first window where we handed in the documents we brought (police certificate, birth certificate and copy. After a long wait, we were called into another window... the interview was in spanish. They asked him how me met, and they asked me a couple of questions about my son and family in the us, about our weeding plans, etc.... after that he said you have been approved and we left the building!! it was 11:40 am when we got out.

Before allowing us in the building, the embassy employee asked to see my fiance's DS 160, passport, and appointment confirmation. He asked me if I had my US passport (which I did) but he never asked to see it. We then went through security and through a courtyard until we came to the building where the interview would be held.
All in all it was a pretty easy and organized experience. We arrived at 6:30, had about 20 cases in front of us, got through security, the initial paper submittal, waiting and interview in less than 2 hours. At 8:30 we were already sitting in the cab on the way back to our airbnb and practically floating, haha.
Don't be nervous. Be honest and be comfortable in the fact that if you have a real relationship - you'll... read complete review
