Our experience with the Santo Domingo embassy was good, everyone was very polite and nice. My husband and I went up to the first window where they asked for my husband's passport, birth certificate, finger prints and medical exam results. The lady asked a few questions and compiled our paperwork. We were then told to go around the corner to wait to be called for our interview. It took an hour & 15 minutes to be called up to the window. My husband was asked a few questions and I was asked about 6-8 questions and then he gentleman said congratulations you're visa is approved. My husband's VISA was issued 2 days later.

The interview was quick; less than 10 minutes. The questions were very basic. The just asked what was already submitted with the I129f plus when we planned to get married. They didn't ask for any of the documentation that We're told to bring other than my passport, of course, and our photos. My fiance did attend the interviw with me so, maybe that helped. It was a good experience. The only con is asking us to bring things they either don't care to see, want or need.

The US embassy in Santo Domingo was well organized. Although the wait was a bit long, it was to be expected as many people had interviews the day we were there. Everything went smoothly, and the interview itself only took about 5 minutes.
