Awesome Day
We arrived to be number 20 in line, so we were there at about 5:20 am.
Yes our appointment was at 6:45 am, and our number given in line was 610.
Sorry to disappoint you but the number - when you are called are not in order. They seem to select ramdom when it was time for Fingerprinting, and interview.
So my fiance and I just sat, waited very patiently and 6 hours later we were called and the interview only lasted about 5 minutes.
APPROVED.
FYI -We were at window 24, very lovely lady. She just asked how we met, and our wedding plans - the last question was for my husband to be. Did he plan to wwork as an Engineer in the US. His replay yes, indeed!
God is awesome!
Wedding TIME!

My husband and I arrived at the capital on Sunday, July 10th, and stayed at the Jardines del Teatro. The aparta-hotel is nice, clean, and conveniently close to the consulate. They even offer to keep your bags in the main office incase your interview runs past check-out time and they need your room. We spent the night making sure all of our paperwork was organized and just relaxing before the big day.
On the day of the interview my husband got up at 4:45am and was able to drag me out of bed by 5am. We got ready, ate some cheese and crackers for breakfast and left all of our bags ready on the bed in case we couldn't make it back by 1pm for check out.
We were on our way to the consulate by 6am. I was looking for the buscones but I guess there weren't that many because of the huelga nacional. The line was already plenty long. It started off as one long line and once you got to a certain point one of the guys with the yellow shirts asked you what type of vis... read complete review

My husband went for his medical 2 weeks before the appointment on a wednesday, he got there at 6:30 am, and was done by 9:00 am.
On the day before the Interview Hubby and I stayed in a cheap motel close by and paid about $20 dollars for the night. the place had parking and air conditioner but no blanket, it was clean and they had cable.
On the day of our interview we parked 2 blocks away and gave the guy "managing" that space 200 pesos. BEWARE OF BUSCONES, these people are very convincing and they just happen to know everything you are missing from your documents, one even told me that the pictures now have to be 50x50 in size without specifying anything else. Pfft don't listen to them, they can take your pic inside the consulate for 200 pesos if you forget them. there are women shouting from accross the street "7:30 am interviews line up here" I dont know what kind of money they get for doing this but it is true that only the earliest interviews can line up aga... read complete review

I really can’t say much from the fact we were second in line at 445 am and didn’t get called to window 19 for interview then told to site and what to be called again from window 11 the dreaded window at 430 pm and were denied. I hated every min of it and Am just so upset over it all that if I really didn’t love my husband I wouldn’t even fit it. I’m not proud to be an American these days at all…………

Aprobado! The words that I'd never thought I'd hear...the day I never thought would come!!!
We opted to stay at Jardin de Teatro like all the pros have recommended on here and it's a better bet than staying at Courtyard Marriott (double the cost) when they're the same exact distance from the embassy (one block) and both comfortable. We stayed up late the night before our Cita to prepare plus we had insomnia! Needless to say we didn't want to get up for the 6:45 appointment. We got in line at 6:15 am which racked my nerves because there were about 100 people ahead of us and I thought we would "miss the Cita"...rewind, my fiance almost got lured by the "buscarones" but i knew better thanks to VJ...the person was trying to lead him down the street from the consulate and I was like see ya I'm getting in line here lol I made him ask the Guards what we should do and they said "your at the consulate..why would you go down the street"...it was funny. Once in line it moved s... read complete review
