We arrived at 5am there were about 50 people ahead of us. Luis wanted to arrive early, after reading all the reviews, I know that arrival time would not matter because they do not call people in a orderly manner. for our first interview we were called at 1130am, this is after we were called to submit documents, and finger printing. to submit documents, we were called to window 20, the only question we were asked there was if he was ever married. for the actually interview, we were called to window 18. at window 18 the only 2 questions we were asked were, if he had ever been to the usa or puerto rico, and if he had family in usa, answer to both questions were no. this is were our drama comes in. on the original applications i had put i met his family in usa when i should have put family friend, all because i was under the impression they were family because they address eachother as [primo]. she repeated again if he had family and again we said no. not sure how he should have a... read complete review

I arrived at the consulate at about 5am. There was already a huge line. When it was time to enter they seperated the women and the men before going though the security. We go in and saw the famous metal benches. They ask non immigrant visa applicants to sit to the right adn immigrant visa applicant to sit to the left. We were called to window 17 (after what seem likea ages) and they colleted all our documents that my fiancee was told to complete in the package. The girl was super nice and informative. She then told us to have a seat while we were called by one of the interviewing Officers. After a couple of hours we were called to window 21. I thought it was a good luck sign since my birthday is on the 21st. Little did I know that this was not my lucky day. So we go and this lady who could barely speak Spanish swears us in. She immediately starts to ask my fiancee questions adn was extremely nice to him and then it was my turn. As soon as she turned to me her whole demeanor changed. It... read complete review

First of all, reading all these posts comforted me in my time of panic before our interview and made me feel much more prepared for what was about to come so thank you to those that have written reviews!!
My fiance and I arrived at the embassy at about 5:15 am. There were maybe about 20 people in line ahead of us. By 6:00 all 4 lines were filled with people. There was some of the employees going through the lines and attaching a number to everyones paperwork. This is the number that you will go by for your entire process. They split the groups into men and women before going through security. You are not allowed cell phone or a list of other things so make sure you leave all of that in your car or at your hotel/ home. Once inside, we grabbed a seat on one of the benches. There is a little place where you can get drinks and food if your hungry. You are there a while so be sure to bring some extra money. Also, there is no air conditioning. Only large industrial fans so be mindful ... read complete review

We arrived at 5 am the line was short only about 9 couples in front of us. Of course the buscones tried to convince us something about wrapping pictures? but then I reminded Leni that they were not employees of the consulate. By 6 the line got pretty long and most people were there. Around 645 they started making the 2 lines one for women one for men they asked for our appointment letter and stapled our number to it (#166) we went thru security and found a seat on the benches. It brighter and more open in there than I expected which made it more comfortable. About 705 we were called to window 23 to give our documents that’s when despite my asking several time we found out he had the extracto form BC instead of the extensa. So the lady explained that we would still interview but he would need to return with the correct BC. I asked if she wanted the affidavit of support she did not. Then about a half hour later we were called by name and number to window 13 we had forgotten to give her... read complete review
