Wow!! The process finally seems to be reaching an end... We are so happy to be past this!
First: Though the wait was long, this website and community of people made it bearable. The information found on VisaJourney is spot on. The wikis and spreadsheets are so thorough that I hardly felt I needed to call USCIS or NVC. I can't thank Saylin and her contributors enough.
Brief Consulate Interview Review: My wife is actually the beneficiary so this review is second hand. Her interview was originally scheduled for January 13th, but with a brief email we were able to get it changed to January 6th. FYI, they seem to answer emails much better than the phone in Prague.
Once arriving at the US Consulate, she had to go through security. They took every electronic including her cell phone and headphones. She mentioned that all security guards were polite.
Once arriving at the window, she was asked for her passport and medical packet. They also reviewed he... read complete review

Security is tight so leave all non-essentials at home.
Most of the time we were the only ones there. After paying, waited about 1/2 hour before interview. Interview lasted maybe 15 minutes and consisted of basic questions like where/when we met, etc.
We were told they'd contact us later with the conclusion. Overall it was straight-forward. The only disappointment was not being told immediately whether the visa was approved.

My experience is very positive. The interview went well, I had to wait a little bit because there was one guy ahead of me and they asked him a lot of questions (he was getting the spousal visa). It kinda bothered me that I could hear his whole story, the room is not provate at all. When it was my turn, the consuel was very nice and asked a few simple questions. Then he said: "everything looks goog, but we need to process the papers and we will call you." So I still wasn't sure if anything could go wrong. My interview was on Thursday and they called me on Monday I could come pick up my visa. Everything was smooth, except for the long wait over the weekend for them to call me.

My interview was on the 20th of June at 1:30. Making an appointment was quite easy - I emailed and they gave me dates to chose from.
When I arrived (at 1) the embassy was still closed and so we all waited in a line outside. We were let inside in pairs. The security had a list of names expected to arrive. Mine was not on the list (after 4 hours on train ahhh). They let me in and sent me to the second floor , there was not a lot of people. Everyone I spoke to behind the window was very nice. I have been asked the standard questions - where did we meet, how many times did I visit etc. etc. I was told my visa was approved but they need to wait for the finger prints to go thru and will call me when to pick up my passport. They called next day to come pick it up.
