  1. We JUST got APPROVED!! My fiance just forwarded me the email today!! :) NOA2 in less than 4 months!

I have a quick question though...I am planning to visit my fiance in usa in 3 weeks for a few days.. Would this interfere me entering usa?? i really hope not! pls let us know

"On May 10, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

  2. Yes, can't wait for Vermont to start approving January!!! I'm working hard on proof, already have more than 100 pages worth of it. All categorized and in nice "OCD order" I wonder how much more I'll have at the end of the NOA1 waiting!

This is my last month at school, I'll miss my high schoolers... and working in general. Won't see much of that (work) for a while. LOL

Congrats to all you CSC approved couples! =)

    Love yall,

    Dee!

Can you please tell me what documents that we need to collect while we are waiting for the NOA2? from the petitioner and beneficiary's side. These are the ones to be sent to NVc?

    kind of confused!! :(

  3. Thanks guys! I do feel bad as I wasn't in a rush for mine while there are others who are waiting to be with their loved ones. I'll allow it though since that removes a huge amount of stress of the shoulders. I didn't do anything special...I have a Nexus, probably the only special thing.

I would send in a revised form, Ashley. Play it safe that way. It'll probably not even matter. I forgot to add Jaime's a# to a few of the sheets and it didn't affect me.

    Hi PEJO,

CONGRATULATIONS  REally hoping they keep going at this speed for everyone!

You mentioned that you forgot to add your fiance's A#. Did she have an A# previously? even though she is Canadian?

Ill give everyone a little background..In my previous marriage, I applied for a CR-Spousal visa (got approved with a US resident card and all) and was assigned an A# during that application. When I divorced him, I gave back the residence card/status.

This time..I opted to do the fiance K visa..I wrote my previous A# on the forms (like the G325 form..even though it was from a previous case). Im actually getting quite nervous if this could be a good thing or bad thing in terms of the timeline.

Has anyone been in a similar situation or heard of something similar??

  4. Border was easy. They just asked when we were getting married and what we both did for a living. Didn't even ask how long I was staying and I got my passport stamped (didn't think to ask because they usually don't).

Thanks for the update..I drove over with family to USA to meet him and his family this weekend. They just asked the regular questions..how long are we going for, didnt stamp passports and didnt ask for evidence. Im assuming it was easier b/c I went with my family...

  5. When I drove across the other weekend i just said i was visiting my b/f. I would not say your family because if they look on the computer and see you have a k1 visa pending they will think you are trying to hide something. They can see you have a k1 pending. I would also take proof of having ties in Canada so that they will know you are coming back. I had my employer write up a letter of employment, if you have a lease agreement take a copy as well, and any bills that are in your name. However, don't give out any information unless you are asked. Hope that helps! I will also be crossing the border this weekend.

    Thank you so much Carl24!

  6. Happy Valentines Day everyone!!! The last one alone...lol! Just opened cards with Matt on the phone, made me a little sad. On a happier note, I am going to Texas on Friday for a 3 day visit since I have a long weekend. I am a little nervous about customs and will have to do it here in Calgary. I will tell them that I am visiting my fiance for the long weekend and I'll have a copy of the k1 app, the NOA1, a letter from my employer, a mortgage statement, a utility bill and the return flight itinerary. I will only show the papers if asked/questioned about my intentions. Any advice?? Anyone visit the US since filing?

Happy Valentines Day to everyone :) Sorry have been missing from this thread (ever since i joined actually!!) But Im glad to see we have such a friendly bunch here! :) Hope this journey goes smoothly for all of us!

I am in Canada and am planning to drive over to see him this weekend..:)

I was just reading your posts about visiting..lets say im driving over from Canada, ...do I HAVE to say that I am going to visit my fiance? i can just as well say I am visiting family friends..(which I will be doing as well) I doubt they would know if they look at just my passport? WHenever I drive to the US (before I got engaged) they just asked me where I am going..and for how long..so Im wondering..pls help!

  7. Hey everyone,

New visa journey member here from Canada :) My fiance & I just got engaged and just sent our I-129f package in mid January. The sample forms here REALLY helped when we were compiling the package :)

My fiance just received this in the mail (attached image)..it says I-797C, but is this also the NOA 1? If not, what would the NOA 1 normally look like? I checked the forms in the 'Gallery' section but not sure if ours is NOA 1...?

    Thanks!!
