We only filed AOS and EAD. I figure if an emergency came up we would file for emergency AP. Plus with the AOS interviews being scheduled so fast now a days we figured we wouldn't need it.

and what does ESL mean?

ESL = English as a second language...basically language classes for people that need help with English...a lot of immigrants attend these classes to learn the language, grammer, vocabulary etc.

Congrats to all the recent newly weds and all the other great news that has been happening :dance: I am so happy to hear (read) of all the wonderful things happening for the ladies in our group. It’s awesome how God works :yes: For the upcoming weddings (Rita and Tashi / Mindy and Roy) I hope you have a fantastic time (L)

I just wanted to check in real quick and let you all know I am still alive :yes:

I have been trying to stay up on the reading but really haven’t had the chance to post. Things have been really rough the past couple of weeks and I am thoroughly exhausted and not really in the best of spirits. I hope that things will get sorted out and I can get back to the “normal” swing of things soon.

I will definitely keep in touch with you all and I love hearing about how you all are doing but it will probably be a little bit until I can be back on the board regularly…like old times. Sorry about not being able to do the suss…again I hope to be able to take that back up all in due time. Right now it is just to stressful that I have had to put aside certain things that are not necessarily top priority. I love to post here and I love doing the suss but right now my focus needs to be elsewhere.

I hope you all are enjoying having your men here and for those waiting its just a matter of time and you will be with your guy. Patience truly is a virtue.

hello guys, im planning on sending the I-129F around the end of this month. Im from new york, so i'll ve sending to the vermont. My fiancee is from the Dominican Republic, how long would it take for her to get her stuff. Are there any other members from DR who got the k1 visa, how long did it take?

If I recall correctly DR is notoriously hard to go through. The wait for the interview alone is months (correct me if I am wrong anyone). Plus all the time it takes to get up to the embassy part of the process. Good Luck.

As for the OP's question...I agree it varies by service center and what country you are going through.

We went through Nebraska and the Kingston, Jamaica Embassy in a little over 6 months plus we were issued a 221g which held us up for quite a while.

Also to the person going through DR. There is a couple on here (username Jackal411) that has been waiting since July 2005 for an interview date and they are hoping that it will come before the end of 2006 but they don't even know. Be prepared for a long wait. Sorry

Hi Ladies~

I didn't file CR1/IR1 through Kingston but I know Ricardoswife (her VJ username) did and she just recently had an interview (December 2005) she doesn't come on the board to much but if you sent her an email I am sure she would share the details with you.

As for a couple of the questions...

You can't schedule the interview...it is scheduled for you. The only interviews scheduled through paymaster are non-immigrant visas. I believe that you recieve the visa in a couple of days after the interview if approved. With Kingston it is always better to have as much proof as possible and the best proof is you.

I ordered through Sams Marketplace over the holidays only because they had free shipping. I was extremely unsatisfied. We ordered Christmas cake some seasonings and a christmas CD at the beginning of Dec. It didn't arrive until the 22nd when they told me it would get there on the 10th. Then to make things even worse the CD wasn't there. We finally got the CD in the middle of January- who needs a Christmas CD in January!?!?! Our account was never updated online and I never got email responses. I finally had to call ( in my best JA accent ) and let them know I was furious...nothing came from it though.
