I have just been told GC ordered so my ROC will be sent off in January 2014 I hope to go to Australia with my wife in April 2014 will my 10 year GC be back before April and if not will I still be able to leave the Country and return if the 2 year has run out thanks for any help

I had my medical in London March 2011 came over here and got married and sent off AOS docs got a rfe because I had a medical condition so medical only lasted 6 months no one told me so after paying for the Surgeon General to fill the papers in I had to go for another medical more expense but yesterday on site says GC approved and ordered so be care ful about any conditions you have I think mine was diabetis it is under control so no problems I think we should be told by the embassy about things like this when we go for interview

I went to US Embassy and got a 6 month visa I got it as I wanted to see if my girlfriend at the time could live together I got te visa and it worked so now we are married and have confirmation of Green card being produced don't know what your answers will be when you have the interview to spend 6 months in US wouldn't put down coming to look for job but you can get visa for 3 months holiday but must have return flight and electronic visa

I have at last received notifacation of processing of my Green Card we sent it off in Sept 2011 and got a rfe for tax returns in the first instant okaynthen when it reached Califonia we were told UK medical is only worth 6 months so out of date I sent back saying you are wrong after consoltingwith 2nd tier agent and info pass but it was rejected again sayingI had a condition so back to the surgeon general she gave me a medical including TB check costing more money the only thing we can put it down to is that I'm diabetic but noonetold me at the K medical or the embassy I wouldneed a new medical in6 months so please beware but I'm happy have the GC on it's way

mine was transferred to Califonia and my biometrics was still done in Minneapolis where I live so yours will also be done localy so don't worry get hubby to phone the local office up or you could do a walk in like a lot of us do for photo and fingerprinting hope this helps

I've flown many airlines BA Emerites Malay and Quantas amoung others to Aust and US Delta to US always good and Iceland Air if you travel Economy no free food traveled Economy plus gave me 2 x 70lbs for suitcases best looking on line try supermarket travel.com they ususally good and you find a good price book as far in advance and travel mid week usually cheaper good luck

Well 7teeners you are lucky sent my AOS in end Sept then RFE about tax sorted and Bio mid November sent to Cali on first Dec and still nothing why re there so many differances

I got an agent and she said mine had gone to CSC on 12/01/2011 and was now at the Minneapolis office which is my local office so perhaps they get sent to CSC and then to local offices

thanks EV11 I did what you said and got a proper person and they told me that it was now in Minneapolis for checks as thats where I live and they were processing 08/18/11 and mine should be done by a months time so once again thanks now know it's in Minneapolis and not Califonia cheers

I'm nearly a October filer mine sent on 30th Sept had Bio on 23rd Oct and received ead in December also my AOS sent to Laguna Niguel Califonia on 12/01/11 I have tried to find out how long it takes from reaching there but I cant find that office on the time lines could someone please help me as I've seen others after me already got their Green Cards thank you

I have sent my I485 in October and had Biometrics in November received work Permit and now waiting for GG my case was transferred to Laguna Niguel CA on 1st Dec 2011 I cant find that place on the time lines but others say 2 to 34 months from sending in AOS although I've seen some Bio in Jan and Interview in Feb can some one inform me roughly how long as when I phoned USCIS an answer was 180 days from transfer thanks guys

I was lucky one way was cheap but it aldepends what country you travel from and what route if buying a RT as it's cheaper make sure you cancel the return leg even if you get no money back

just take your prints and photo take passport with you for ID

to Vanessa don't worry you will soon be okay for driving on the wrong side lol and as for speaking proper English do Aussies I spent a lot of time there with Brit Army and holidayed a lot as my family immigrated there I miss things here or pay high prices and cant understand lack of security on banking and shopping with credit and debit cards but know we must act like an American cause thats there way of life and I get like Karen love your accent although it's some times between OZ and Brit and friends who live in Australia from Scotland still have their accents after 30 years so Karen you will proberly keep yours

answer for Davidsgirl Full Irish is muchthe same as Full English except you get black and white pudding as for full Scotish same as English except the proberly get fried mars bar with it lol and yorkshire pudding simerlar to pop overs I love my wife cookingbut try to stay same weight and for who wrote about shepard pie is made with lamb (hard to get)if made with bee is called cottage pie I lso love to cook British style food thatmywife an family love as it's a change from their cooking

I bought a single but some buy return as it's cheaper but don't forget to cancel the return part when arriving I know people that have used that airline and had no problems good luck on your journey it depends which Airport you arrive in to how much hassle you get I fly in and out of Minneapolis mostly and found it is a wonderful airport very friendly not like some others I have used

I was married for 10 years then divorced remarried and that lasted 25 years then my wife died when I sent everything off we got RFE they wanted to see divorce papers which ended 1974 luckily my ex still had papers and could give me date and place so I got a copy and emailed it to USA to my now wife she email it to USCIS and it was accepted so now I'm 3 times married and she is 2nd time married so make sure you both have your old divorce papers wasn't asked any thing about it at Embassy but accept differant Embassies are differant

perhaps they mean that they did a walk in before their letter stated and were successful at being allowed to take their biometrics and not told to come back when their letter stated just like I did walked in 3 weeks before date and was accepted there so saved 3 weeks off of my wait got my Work Authority within a week

italdepends I did my biometrcs and got work Authority with in a week butothers had to wait longer but wouldn't workuntil you have authority as you may have problems

carry your papers from USCIS I put in for my AOS in Oct and walked in when I got letter for biometrics and have work auth back also we must be lucky wentfor written drivers test past ad they said as it was icy out there tey had spaces for road tests so I got it there andthen just waiting formy G/Card now god luck on you journey

did you have an interview as I've just received work Auth today and have been told G/Card sent to differant office from Lees Summit MO hoping I get a reply soon also Work Auth 1 year do you have to send for another 1 or do they send it to you anyway I'm married to Minnesotian also

My opinion on this is that it won't really matter. I printed out some of our pictures on regular computer paper (no date on actual pics) about 9 to a page and wrote a brief caption of who when and where. I had a color printer but I think for AOS I might have done b&w. I brought the actual pictures to the k1 interview.
