TX lockbox received application Monday morning....And I just received the NOA1 e-mail this morning!! I guess this means my fiancee should start collecting evidence etc for the interview, correct? Is there a check list that I can send to her so she can start collecting all the documents for the interview? Is interview the packet 3 thing everyone talks about? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

TX lockbox received my I-129 packet Monday morning along with G-1145 form. Based on reading everyone's posts, it seems like it takes 5-10 days for everyone to receive their NOA1. Since I turned in G-1145, will they e-mail/text me as soon as they approve NOA1??

So after spending 15-20 hours on VJ and everyone's help...I just sent in the I-129F this morning through FedEx. I live in Michigan - does that mean it'll get routed to Vermont or California?? Or does it depend on the work load at each facility? Thanks!

I'm a naturalized US citizen...So on my certificate of naturalization, I have a "A#". Is that what they are referring to in question 8B of the I-129F? Obviously my fiancée doesn't have one since she's never been to the US or ever has applied for any visa so I wrote "none" for question number 9 in Part B.

So on I-129F, on question number 3, is it ok to use the short form of the state? I was born in "Gujarat, India" Gujarat being the state. But I can't get it to fit completely on it. What do I do in situations like that?

But is it legal to carry two passports? I got the US passport thinking that I would get my India visa transfered to my US passport but that didn't happen. Indian embassy said I would need to completely reply for Indian visa and I have time since my travel date was approaching so I traveled on my Canadian passport. As for the proof of my US citizenship, I was planning on including the naturalization certificate.

Quick question - wondering if someone can help me. So I met my fiance in India on my last visit and got engaged on the last day I was there. We took at lot of pictures that day too. My question is regarding proof of relationship and am wondering if what I have is enough or not. I am a dual citizen - Canadian and US. However, since my visa was attached to my Canadian passport, I traveled on my Canadian passport. As for the proof of me meeting her in India, I have pictures with date stamp and passport stamp on my Canadian passport. I was also thinking about including my itinerary as one of the proofs. What else should I include as the proof? And in the cover letter, should I explain why I traveled on my Canadian passport and not US?

Thanks guys for the quick reply. Really opened my eyes regarding the situation. For some reason, I've been hearing people say that it takes approximately 6 months for the K1 visa. 8-9 months is too long. Does the processing time depend on the service center? I live in Michigan and I think I have to send my I129F to the TX lockbox..where does it go after that? Technically NSC is who I usually deal with but I've heard they do not process K1 anymore.

Was wondering if someone can share some information regarding travelling outside of the US. Here is my situation. We got engaged on 1/5/2011 and will be applying for her K1 visa on 1/24/2011. I understand it takes approximately 6 months for her to get the K1 visa (hopefully with no RFE issues). 6 months takes us to August time-frame. We plan to get married (court/register marriage) within a week that she comes to the US and apply for her I485. Our plan was to go back to India for a traditional Indian wedding in November. Will this be possible? Can she leave the country if we have applied for the I485? Do we need to apply for something else along with 485? We want to come back to the US together at the end of November.
