I disagree strongly with the previous response.
You didn't say when the I-751 is due. If it's not imminent, I would wait and get the lease. You don't get prizes for sending in the form well prior to the deadline.
The reason I disagree with the prior response, is that if you do this well enough you won't have an interview. Interviews are definitely not automatic, and you should avoid it if you can. Not that an interview will materially harm your chances, but why go through the stress and drag the process out. Make your package easily approvable by the service center.
I think the joint lease would be one of the most important pieces of evidence, especially since the utility bills are all in your name, since it is pretty strong evidence of both cohabitation and joint financial responsibility. It will also hopefully document the period of time you've been living together.

You need to be scared. Apparently your husband grew up in an abusive enviroment. If he had jumped right to your defense that would be one thing but you had to tell him.
People that grow up in an abusive enviroment frequently end up being abusive. Him flipping out when you went outside is a bad sign.
These are not normal people to start with but apparently your husband set this thing off with an over reaction to you being outside.
For a short time this seemed like a loving family. beware your husband grew up in this family.
The worst thing you could do right now would be to get pregnant. If he flips out you'll be even more alone than you are now.
Take charge of the birth control and put this guy on probation for a year before you decide to get pregnant.

We were in the same boat last week - actually, today was our 4 week mark. I ended up getting my congresswoman involved - she contacted them on Monday evening (London would have gotten the email on Tuesday) and magically on Thursday morning our case was found and logged!! I know you feel, as soon as we hit the three week mark I was very grumpy and frustrated!
One of the last women I spoke to at DOS said she used to work at the London embassy - she said August/beginning of September is a crazy month and things get slowed down quite a bit b/c people are being reassigned - etc - so that is why people who sent it in in that time frame might be waiting longer than normal -they are just back logged b/c they are working on a skeleton staff. Not sure how true that is - or if she really even worked there - but it made sense to me...

The interviews are subjective. If you give off a bad vibe they may ask for more information or question you more deeply. It's not a machine that grades you but a human.
From your explanation I feel that SOMETHING happened, acquitted or not. If you say "I got arrested, it was a big mistake, it's all clear" I'd tend to believe that. But you ramble on and on and on, just like a person trying for a quick adjudication and hoping that I agree with you before I have time to think about your compete story.
Maybe it is a language barrier. Maybe you are hiding something. Maybe you have a different way of communicating when you are nervous.
But you cannot lie to the interviewers. They hear hundreds of stories a day and can pick out the one liar who stands out from all the rest. Your attitude and explanation, from my point of view, warrant further investigation. If it is all truly an egregious error, be quiet and let the paperwork do the talking.
