priority date is when we get the approved letter from uscis office,they will give priority date for each case..when we filed ........which date u filed ur case&approved

Err, I filed on Feb 17, was approved mid-May.

I don't think there is a priority date when you file as we did xx

Yeah, DCF. I've been told I need a case number for my medical otherwise they wont know how to send it on correctly, which makes sense I suppose!

ahh yeh, i didnt do DCF so thats probably why. By the time all my docs were processed in America i had my case nr with me at the medical examination. Hope it all goes quick for ya!

Ahh, yeah, that'd be why. DCF filers don't get any case number until NOA2, we don't even get an official NOA1, it's just the payment being taken from our accounts that's it! lol!

Yup, we've called them daily since 11th May. No case number yet.

It's so odd that you're having to wait so long for them to transfer your file over. Must be very frustrating for you, esp since your case in an expedite. I hope they have some good news for you soon xx

Well apparently it was hand-delivered to the next office on May 17th. Still no case number.

But extremely excited at the same time of course The next time I'll update I'll be in San Antonio, yaaaaaaaaaay!

Well once you get approved it's supposed to take about two weeks to receive your case number. But lot's of people call about a week after I-130 approval to get the case number over the phone so they can book the medical. Good luck!!! xx

But we've phoned and were told no case number has been issued. It's been over a week and a half now since their "we're doing it today!" email.

seriously, still nothing? wow, that is crazy. I guess that I shouldn't expect anything to happen for me any time soon then. I guess I'm gonna be stuck in London for a good while longer. I hope you get your case number soon xx

they're processing petitions filed jan 27th! so they've passed my filing date, hope I get a straight-forward approval and no denial or RFE. Of course, you've been waiting so long for your case number, it seems like I'll have just as long a wait as always, good luck xx

Seriously, still nothing. I'm hoping a phone call tomorrow will finally bring about my case number. I hope yours gets approved ASAP!

Because the military ###### up when we initially went to send off my visa forms. My husband's ex-commander sent a letter to the US Embassy requesting the visa to be expedited & they accepted!

Still no case number? xx

if u clicked the box yes in DS-230 form about SSN then wait for another week if you still did not get it then go to local SSA office and apply one
