  1. Yes I thought USPS was the cheapest but I was concerned with the Philippines postal system botching the job. It appears my worries about their postal system are unfounded.

PhilPost has always been a hit and miss for me. There have been on occasion where they opened our letters, I guess suspecting money in the greeting cards. You can use LBC. Even if you don't have any LBC branches in your area. Simply send out the package via USPS to the closest LBC branch and give instructions that you want to mail out the package. Call first to get a shipping quote, so you can send them a money order for the shipping costs. It's usually 12.50 to 14.50 for a Speed Pouch (package weighing less than 2 pounds). I've done this on several occasions. This also works for Johnny Air branches as well.

  2. Well I'm an idiot. I accidentally brought all my fiancee's documents NSO birth certificate, CENOMAR, NBI Clearance, etc.) with me back to the US. She forgot to get it out my computer bag before I left The Philippines.

My question is... what does she need to bring for her CFO seminar? If she needs certain documents, can we simply make scanned copies of her documents or do they require the original documents?

  3. I was there for my fiancee's interview on November 23rd, 2011. I have to tell you, it is much easier process if both are you are together. The only thing they asked from us were our DS forms, NBI clearance, NSO Birth Certificate, CENOMAR, and my 2010 income tax return. That was it! We went there with tons of paperwork just in case they asked us for anything, but it was surprisingly easy. They rarely asked any questions from me, but directed most of the questions to her. The pre-screener even stated that our interview will be a piece of cake since I'm there.

Our interview with our CO was less than 3 minutes and the only things she asked us was, "you guys have been together for almost 7 years now?! WOW!" She was smiling the entire time and I already had the vibe that she was going to approve us. She asked how we met, first time we met in person, and why did we wait so long to file for a fiancee visa. Our CO was smiling the entire time and when she said "I am going to approve your visa. Congratulations!" We both high fived, hugged, then kissed each other lol. We started walking our her room and my fiancee thanked her and tried to hold back from crying and the CO replied back, "Enjoy the rest of the day and good luck in the USA." I peep back into her room and told her Happy Thanksgiving and she replied "Thank you! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!"

Our CO was a young, white woman and seemed to thoroughly enjoy her job.

  4. I'l tell ya why. Because some of us here including myself find the homosexual lifestyle sick and repulsive and we don't want our children thinking it's the norm. Next up will be people marrying their pets.

Marriage is between a man and a woman.

Marrying pets really?... I figured that would come up when mentioning gay marriage. Same way 50 years ago, people thought interracial marriages were sick and repulsive and it wasn't till the mid 90's that interracial marriages was above the 50 percent approval rating in our nation. Glad to see old views eventually die out and the next generation are more accepting.

  5. Black Friday, 2011 has gone down in history as the all time record breaking sales day of firearms!

The FBI reports there were 129,000+ approvals that day using the National Instant Check System (NICS) An approval is valid for 5 days and for multiple firearm sales so the system could indicate far more than 129,000 firearms sales that day and in the subsequent days.

This is a 32% increase over the previous all time high day which was Black Friday, 2008, just after Obama had been elected. spokesman for the Brady Center, an anti-gun organization, attributed the increase to the firearms manufacturers "discovery" of Black Friday marketing techniques.

A spokesman for the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) reports that 70% of gun sales currently are first time buyers. So we have 90,300+ NEW gun owners, just for that day!

The FBI also reports a 13.9% decrease in violent crime over the last 5 years in the USA.

    Thank you Barack Hussein Obama!

Barack Obama reassured a crowd, "I believe in people's lawful right to bear arms. I will not take your shotgun away. I will not take your rifle away. I won't take your handgun away."

How is he anti-gun? It is now allowed to carry guns in National Parks and trains... something that has not happened in 94 years. If he was Republican, NRA would make him "Man of the Year" but instead the NRA and the gun industry play into people's fears that he's going to take our guns away.

  6. So i am presuming Democrats would support the end of ALL payroll witholding and replacement with the FAIR TAX even better!

Funny how when they want to stimulate the economy they will do so by taking LESS TAX from our paychecks and claim it is necessary...but deny that eliminating it altogether and replacing it with something they cannot manipulate (they way they are manipulating this now) is BAD.

I stopped reading soon as I read FAIR TAX.

  7. Here's another story to get mad over nothing...

Sorry, but this has to do more with stupid Homeowners Associations and I guess with Britain they are called Parish Council. There's no sign of widespread belief of this in Britain, just a little parish/subdivision that tries to push their stupid rules on homeowners because a few idiots in the subdivision complained.

I had a friend who's homeowners association complained that he can't change his oil in his car in his front driveway recently. That's how stupid HOAs are...

  8. The student isn't the idiot. The Congresswoman is.

Exactly. I was referring to Michelle Bachmann, but I guess Republicans here like to twist my words to fit their agenda, just like she did in the clip. She knew perfectly well what the student meant, but rather than give a proper answer, she preferred to mock the student by skirting the question. I bet they spend hours and millions of dollars of consulting fees to come up with that answer.

It won't be long though before gay marriage is the law of the land though. Also, I don't quite understand how some people on VJ can be so against gay marriage and they are hear complaining about how the government won't let them marry their foreign fiancees/spouses. The level of ignorance is just baffling.

  9. Maybe taxing StarBucks for accepting food stamps for coffee and dounuts would help. Sends a message. Yes, Starbucks accepts a Food Stamp Card. Life is sweet !

Oh Geez, here we go again... I actually don't give a ###### if Starbucks accepts food stamp cards or not... it's called CAPITALISM and should have the freedom to accept them.

Also, I'm quite the regular at Starbucks and I have never seen anyone ever use a food stamps card to buy coffee. This is just another idiotic thing to get mad about nothing. It's the same ###### when you hear people saying "black people using food stamps driving in cadillac escalades..." yeah that's really prevalent!

Just yesterday I saw a white woman using a EBT card to pay for her groceries, I could tell she was ashamed to use it because she pulled it out and swiped it and put it back in her wallet right away. She didn't buy much groceries either and when she went outside she drove in a late model Camry. She probably lost her job and that EBT card is the only thing to put food on her table. She probably worked her #### off all her life and never had any government assistance till that time, yet she's ashamed to use the card because we have idiots out there equating her using an EBT card as being a leech on society. GIVE ME A ###### BREAK.

  10. Hi there! I'm new here and my fiance and I are trying to get everything together for the I-129F package. I had a question about sending proof of an ongoing relationship. We have pictures to send except they're all just on my computer. I don't have a fancy picture printer or anything like that. I just have a normal black and white printer. Will that be okay? If not, where can I go to get them printed?

Go buy a color printer, it will be cheaper than having to go to a store and letting them print it for you.

You can also go to WalMart, CVS, Walgreen's, RiteAid, Target, Costco, KMart, basically almost every major store has an area where you can simply print out your pictures. Walmart has an online option where you can upload it on their website and pick the store where you will pick it up and they will have the pictures ready for you.

    http://photos.walmart.com/walmart/welcome

Also, when you send out pictures make sure to give a detailed description of the photo on the back of the picture or on a piece of paper stating where the picture was taken and date.

  11. Put the cash in the bank.

    Show the bank statement.

Have letter reflecting amounts from the employer

    and then

    show all to CO.

The problem with him putting cash in the bank is that the CO will not bother looking at his bank statement simply because he has not maintained his bank account throughout the year, but instead made one lump deposit. They will look at that with suspicion and more likely ignore it completely. He needs to maintain his bank account for at least 1 year with regular deposits/withdrawals.

  12. It doesn't surprise me that the CO decided you might become a public charge in the U.S. It appears that you are missing two very important pieces of evidence. You are missing a letter from his employer, and also you are missing current paycheck stubs which accurately reflect his income. Without this evidence, I don't think you can overcome the public charge issue.

One solution is to get a letter from his employer which accurately states his wages, and to have his employer start paying your fiancé's entire earnings by check. After a couple of months, submit these to the Embassy in order to show them that his current sustained income is above 125% of the poverty line. That way, he can qualify on his own and won't need a cosponsor.

Your fiancé's employer fears an investigation. That's because they are hiding something, and that means it's time for your fiancée to play hardball. Have your fiancé demand that his employer end the cash payments. From now on, his entire earnings must be paid by check. Also demand an employer's letter. Let the employer know that if they don't do it, then he will report their payroll irregularities to the authorities.

If he fears of losing his job by reporting his employer's payroll irregularities, he can also declare his cash payments as self employed derived income. He will have to pay taxes out of his own pocket on that income though. Also, if you want to push his income higher I would suggest declaring more self employed cash income. You're basically declaring more cash than he actually has, but again he will pay A LOT in taxes, but it will push his income higher.

Let him talk to an accountant that can help him overcome this issue.

  13. If you use assets, they only count 1000 for every 3000. Also, they will look at assets, but they want to see that there's sustainable income coming in or has potential for future income growth. The US Embassy in Manila is very strict when it comes to income and very rarely allows cosponsors for K1 visas.

It's probably best if he goes to The Philippines and marry you over there and file for a CR-1 and look for a cosponsor.

    Don't give up hope.

  14. Flyhighrtr: It's not for the sputum test, so she will likely (fingers crossed) be cleared on December 8th. I'm hoping the interview will happen before December 20th, that's when I figure they won't get the Visa done before the New Year. Still looking for insight the typical time delay on St. Luke's rescheduling.

I would wait till December 8th to see the results and since you're currently in The Philippines, go back with her and inquire about the visa interview date that St. Luke's will supposedly set up for you. I've heard from people that December interview slots have already been filled up, so if St. Luke's can squeeze you in I would go with them.

I highly doubt she will get her visa in hand before January 3rd though, considering all the holidays in December and New Years, pretty much all government offices shut down around that time. Plus, she still has to deal with CFO.

  15. Okay! :)I'm just curious about the NVC will schedule my Interview! I read some reviews that you will be the one will schedule your interview, wev'e got right now our MNLcase#, after you pay the BPI and if your case has been enter to the system of the Embassy you can start scheduling your interview is this correct????

thank you for your Ans. i really appreciated it.:)

Give them at least 2-3 weeks to get the petition in and enter it into their database. You can go ahead and pay your visa fee at BPI if you already have your Philippine passport, MNL Case Number, NOA1, and NOA2. Once you make a payment and the US Embassy enters it into their database, you can then schedule your appointment online at https://cgifederal.secure.force.com

If you try to schedule your interview online after making payment BUT the US Embassy has not entered your petition into their database, it will not let you schedule your interview.

Also, when you schedule your interview online and the part where it ask for your receipt number... it's actually asking for your fiancee's Philippine passport number.
