    Hello everyone,
Apologies for responding late. My intereview was on 6 Jan. First we were called for documentation checking and the indian officer asked following questions :
    Who is calling you ?
How long have you been in UAE ? (same question was asked to my husband also.)
What are you working as ? (same question was asked to my husband also.)
Whats your mothers maiden name ? (same question was asked to my husband also.)
She asked my son his age his birthdate and what is he doing in india.
She asked for medical and latest UAE and Indian Consulate PCCs.
She asked for latest tax papers.
She asked if i had latest pay slip of my brother (which my brother had sent that very morning)
She asked If we had joint sponsorship papers - which we said no, and they said its ok.
She asked if we will be flying back to UAE or will be staying in India. We said we have to join back work. She scribbled some note and asked us to wait.
She told us that our docs are in order and final interview will be conducted by US officer. If he feels ok, then he will grant you visa, in that case please travel to US before your son completes age of 16.
After some time we were called for interview by US consular officer and questions asked were :
    Who is calling you ?
How long have you been in UAE ? (same question was asked to my husband also.)
What are you working as ? (same question was asked to my husband also.)
When did your brother go to to US ?
In which category did he go to US ?
When did you meet your brother and his family ?
When did he go to India ?
How many kids he has ?
    Last question was :
By the way - How is Dubai ? To which we replied its good.
Then he confirmed our deliver address for passports.
He said your visa is approved and you would receive it in 5 workign days. (we got our passports within the time frame).
He said please pay USD 165/- per person for green card before travelling to USA.
Complete process took 3 hours for us.
We noticed few questions where people fumbled for answers are listed as below : These questions if answered wrong may put a person in AP (2 cases in front of us were asked to submit pcc and joint sponsorship forms)
Joint Sponsorship. (in my case they did ask, but when i said i dont have...they said its ok. I guess they check the financial stability of petitioner).
Address of person where they sepcifically asked for pin code. (if you dont know then say so, donot give wrong pincodes One lady gave wrong pincode and the officer was asking her in the application the pincode is different and what you are saying is different, dont know what happend to her later)
Police clearance certificate should be from passport office and not from local police station. (Another applicant submitted local PCC and she said its useless for us you need to give certificate from passport office)
Birth certificates should be translated and from proper issuing authorities.
Questions from D260 online form. In few cases, beneficiary was not aware of answers, as online forms were filled by petitioner. (They were general questions, yet people could not answer like their stay or study or residence or regarding the beneficiary. They would go in details only if they doubt that you are not the same person)
Who has filled the D260 form ? (if you have not filled then say so but donot bluff, as one of the officers was asking one beneficiary in front of us - if you have filled the forms then how come you dont know what you have written. Your answer is not matching to what you have written in the form)
Where do you want your green card to be delivered ( Answer has to be USA Address).
You dont have to mug up or by heart your answers, you need to be confident and honest. They have all the details so please please please donot bluff.
    Trust it helps.

i doubt whether the operators are allowed to disclose the visa bulletin before it gets released...its impossible that an operator will disclose the visa bulletin 1-2 months before its release...infact there is a possibility that even the operator may not be knowing what will be the movement untill the visa bulletin gets released by the authority...

i am going to be 22 this november...and i have just completed my bachelors...and now waiting for my pd to get current... pd is 1 November 2002...
You have completed your undergrad, Congrats!! but it is irrelevant with the immigration and your doubts.
In the meanwhile can i do job here in india ??
Yes, You can. You are an Indian National after all and will be remain for next 6 years at least when you will be in US. Our country is so flexible that there is no such hard and tough rules for immigration and work permits like western countries do in their homeland, instead of that our nation actually entertains every refugee and illegal immigrants from bangladesh, nepal, bhutan etc. Then what stops you to work ...
Or else can i apply for student visa and go to usa for masters and then when my pd gets current, i ll attend my visa interview for immigration visa... ??
Is there any risk in both cases ??
You can go to US for education purpose, since you are a derivative beneficiary therefore it won't be too hard to get you that. But, that would cost you much higher as an international student whereas you can save by continue your education after year or so when you arrive there on immigrant visa. You will enjoy many benefits like sponsoring your education by your own by applying loans under FAFSA scheme.
First of all, you will not be allowed to attend your interview without Principal beneficiary, if you are in US already on non-immigrant visa and waiting for your immigrant number as a derivative beneficiary, I doubt that they would have call you on interview for Adjustment of Status. Since you are a derivative beneficiary you always accompanied with the principal beneficiary till you enter the US on your first trip.
Case1: Suppose you gt education visa i.e. a non-immigrant one and your family joins you later on when they enter the US on immigrant visa. How they suppose to convince the immigrant officer at embassy or consulate during their interview that where their one child is and why he/she is not present during the interview?? (Take a legal advice on this, this one seems a very complicated scenario)
Case2: If you join your parents to attend the interview, everything will be smoothly done and you will go there and apply in your interested course with less fees and enjoy other benefits as well. In this way, you will avoid many problems which you may have to face in case 1.

Because someone told me that i cant do job till i receive immigration visa...because i must be considered as a child though i am above 21...
Yes, someone told you the half truth. Non-immigrant visa people may work but under H1b visa not under education F1 visa. An international student is allowed in certain cases to work to meet his/her personal expenses but they need a permission from authorities (university in this case) first and that will be too given to work on campus only for max to max 20 hours a week. Immigrant visa equipped you to work and live freely by your own wish.
because i must be considered as a child though i am above 21... Nothing deal with the child thing here, you wont be allowed to work because you will be on non-immigrant visa in given situation. There is no such age cap for working in US. An American LPRs and Citizens can work right from their teenage, therefore if you land there on immigrant visa you will be free to work, study, drive etc. from the very next day when you get your SSN and greencard in your hands. You are already a grown up person right now, dont get confused with this Child thing in this immigration language.
and i m not sure that if i go to usa on student visa, then will i be eligible for my immigration visa when pd gets current...
This I have already cleared above.
