My wife and I are applying together, so I'm probably going to stick to the date on the notice. Do you know if kids are allowed at the biometrics and interview appointments?

Thanks Safroot! Actually, I was joking. This wait is nothing. I waited 5 years just to get my green card through employment. Add 5 more years for citizenship, so I'm at 10 years in the process LOL What is a few more months!!!

In every case where you do name change with naturalization, the oath WILL be administered at the court house and not USCIS office as a judge has to do the name change part. This may cause delays for oath ceremony. You may want to inquire ahead of time what local court house (normally it's the one closest to USCIS office) does the citizenship oath ceremonies and what their schedule is so you can ask for a specific date and maybe they assign you to that one.

I heard some USCIS offices do both services at the same time. I just wanted to check if Seattle is one of them.

I requested a name change when I filed my N400 application. My interview will be in Seattle. Will this delay my oath ceremony? Or will it be at the same day as the interview if everything goes smooth?

My status also changed on Dec 28 it says request for evidence but I am guessing it must be Biometric thing. I am waiting to see the letter and date but no luck now may be in first week of Jan . Hey Texas is also moving thats good news!

What time of the day do they usually make changes on their website? I received the notice that they accepted my application at 10:30 pm, but most people seem to receive email updates around noon.

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New year and i wish you all the best. Also a shout out to USCIS employees for working to get those biometrics letters and interview letters in other cases out even in the last 2 weeks of the year between christmas and new year's when no one wants to work

today thanks god I received my Biometrics letter for an appointment on 01/06/2011. I think that's early enough and i don't think i will try to do a walk in. i hope you guys get your letters soon as well :-)
