  1. So my dad, a citizen is in process of bringing over his son to the US. This will be his 2nd one since becoming a citizen. We have submitted the Choice of agent. NVC said he does not have to pay affidavit of support fee again so they have the status as "paid.' My question is this, we want to pay for the Immigrant Visa Fee but how do we get the "fee invoice"? Would I be right to think that maybe they are waiting on us to submit the financial supporting document before issuing the "fee invoice"? otherwise what is the next step? The website is allowing us to make payment for the IV. Thanks in advance

  2. The bulletin has like 6days to catch up to your brother's PD. Usually by now you should have heard something from the NVC not the embassy about document intake or at least updating what they on file. Give NVC a call and hear what they tell you. They probably will need an updated affidavit of support and police certificate. Of course you could request to bring the current versions with him to the interview instead of mailing again to NVC.

    Best wishes.

Ndu thank u so much. We will call NVC.

    Good luck

  3. My brother,s F2B priority date is coming up soon, May 21, 2005, My question is should he have heard something from the consu;late by now? Before retrogression he had completed the last paper with the Nigerian consulate and was waiting to be given an interview date by the consulate. knowing how mails and communication can be in Nigeria (unreliable) how do we find out (after his priority date) what his interview date is?

Is there anything we can do meanwhile in preparation, like document-wise. We had sent all papers including affidavite os finacial support before retrogression hit.

Thanks in advance and goodluck with your journey!

  4. The US Constitution is silent on marriage for two reasons. The first reason is that marriage is not a Federal issue, and the second, more important, is that marriage was not a matter for government at all when the Constitution was written.

Marriage predates the Constitution. Marriage was around for thousands of years before the Constitution was written, and everyone knew what it was. The legalities of marriage, such as marriage licenses and the like, are products of the twentieth century, and were created to protect an existing institution.

i am just saying i should be able to as a usa citzen marry whom i choose and bring them here as long as they are not a criminal or threat to anyone and am upset i jumped through govermental hoops and the best they could come up with was my age

If u do not have a lawyer, get one and see where u go from here.
