I read here people's horror stories about the call center, but my experience has always been pleasing. I let them know that I am aware they cannot give me more info, but to at least forward me to an officer who can. Last time I called I was forwarded to another person, who was saying the same BS and I asked again to be connected to someone who can be more specific. That may have helped.

Michele, I am sorry it's taking so long. I have managed to put in a service request and called back couple times to check on it. When I call I try to be calm and compliant and ask to speak with someone who can look at the file. Last time I called I was told 30 days but 4 hours later I got the approval letter. Also e-mailed vsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov the day before. Push hard!

I have a question for you, while you were being interviewed did you observe how they interview as far as language. My fiance doesn't speak any English and I am worried that the officers may not be very good at Turkish. I worry that language may be a barrier causing misunderstandings when answering questions...

I have visited 4 times since August, It's a little irresponsible to financially but, emotionally it makes perfect sense. It helped us stay positive. I don't think that the Senator really helped with anything, we have not gotten anything other than the standard response, that is it takes 6 months to be considered beyond normal processing times. This is the hardest thing I ever had to do ...

Hi Michele, How is the wait going? It's driving me absolutely crazy. I contacted my Senator and they were told that for us to be considered outside normal processing time, we have to wait till 26th of April, until then we cannot request for service. Have you been doing anything to expedite?

We have the same date of 10/26 for 1st NOA. Have you done anything to speed it up or did it just happen?
