  1. adding my timeline here too. july 16th NOA1, dec 3rd RFE, jan 3rd RFE response received by USCIS, jan 7th received I email notification that our petition was approved!!!!!!!!!!! i thought the 4 day turn around on the RFE was kinda impressive!

Lucky you! My NOA July17th. Learned later that on Dec 8th got RFI by talking to the higher level of USCIS reps. Email on Dec 30th about RFI but still don't know what i had missed to present in my original packet. No mail yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Don't know what to doooooooooooooooooooooo! Life is to short and a purpose of life is LOVE!

  2. There is hope!!! Our I29F petition was approved by CSC last Thursday with no touches indicated!!!

Don't know if the letters sent to CIS and my Congressman helped as it has been a long 4 months 3 weeks and 4 days!!! I received the last letter that I sent to CSC a month ago back in the mail this weekend with a form letter stapled to it stating they have a new process in place for inquiry’s and I needed to follow it! Talk about being crazy, thank God I did not do something stupid!

Called USCIS this morning and was told it was not 5 months yet and it would be approved when it reaches 5 months. They apparently are just able to pull up the same information we can look at. Thought she was very polite and compassionate so somehow I remained calm and civil. I asked to speak with an immigration officer and was told they did not have their numbers. I then asked whom else I could talk with as this was a serious issue and I needed help. She said I could be connected to a higher level of customer service and asked if that is what I wanted (yes). She asked me again if I was asking to be connected to a higher level of customer service (yes). Believe it or not within seconds someone answered as an "officer" who conveyed the essence of professionalism. After being asked about 8 or so personal questions she said with a smile: Your petition was approved last Thursday, was forwarded to the VSC, and I would receive the approval notice in the mail shortly!!! I was stund, repeated what she said, she confiirmed and repeated it to me one more time!

We really needed this today; my fiancé has been in the hospital for the last 8 days with issues contributed to stress dealing with this journey. After knowing each other for several years while I was living in Korea, living together in the US under visiting visas, she really started to lose faith that approval was coming after 2 months past, then 3, 4, and now 5.

Wishes of hope for all others whose cases have approached the 5-month mark and have not yet had any indication of action. While it’s not the Visa in hand, nor us being together for the holidays, it makes for a good Christmas gift knowing we will be together soon as the really long wait is behind us!

Thank You. I just called and they told me that I got a RFE on December 8th. The problem is than I don't know yet what kind of evidence!

    THANK YOU!

    Question 1

The I-134 is sent with my copy of I-129F packet to my Fiancée for her interview ?

    Question 2

Does the I-134 need to be a notarized copy, or is non-notarized ok ?

    Thanks in Advance !

    Slim

Yes! She has to have it for an interview but it dos not need to be notarized.

  5. Waiting also !!! NOA1 JULY-23rd and still not NOA2 !!!! very depressing X-Mas ! So many plans all ruined

You are right! I ran my own company and i newer charge clients before I complete the order. First I make sure the clients are happy and then I get paid. Is in it right? Why some cases get approved with in 1 to 3 month and some people have to wait sooooooooooooooo looooooooooooooong? Mine is pass 5 month mark as well. We are both single, I am an US citizen, no crime records, we met 5 times during the last year and i am going back to him for New Year. The problem is no NOA2 and it's over 5 month for us! We are well ready for the next step but we are not allowed to do it. Why?

  6. We got our NOA1 July 12 and now we are past due the processing time line which was Dec 12. My fiance talked to the USCIS Rep and the person response was they are processing applications of July 10th as of today :-(( Who knows when we'll get our NOA2..

You are right! WHO KNOWS!? I think it's inhuman to keep people in the dark for soooooooooooooo looooooong! I became hopeless crying machine. Don't wont to talk to people and can't. My life stopped. Tomorrow is my 5 month NOA1 mark and how mach longer, how many months, years, decades I would be able to cry? :crying:

  7. Hello all,

I have been using this wonderful site for the last year as my fiancee Natasha and I have been planning on getting married. Ya'll have been a great help and I thank you for it. So good of help in fact I did not need any help till now. We already have her K1 visa, she will be coming over after the holidays from Chita on January 22nd. So I was purchasing her tickets from the UNITED website and realised I did not know if the tickets should be entered in her Russian name as is on the first line of the name section of use her English spelling directly under it. I tried to look on here but could not find it the way I was searching. I called the airlines and two of there reps who were not sure at first said to use the top line, the Russian spelling on the UNITED ticket. I emailed a friend who I worked with who is on a student visa from Russia who said to always use the English spelling on the passport and spell it exactly as it is on the passport. To be sure I will get it right I email gotorussia.com to purchase the ticket through them thinking they are the pros and can hold my hand on this purchase and just buy it through them. They tell me to ask my fiancee weather to use English or Russian. So, here we are after all of the complicated journey of getting Natasha's K1 visa and now I cant figure out how to buy the tickets. You would think this would be the easiest part but I'm just not sure and could use some guidance from some of the pro's on here. I just hate to get her to Moscow and she gets refused boarding because we used the wrong spelling. Thanks for any help that you can offer. We are really excited thinking in just over a month we can start our own journey together. We are still waiting on the NOA2, that is a whole other story. Thanks again for all the help in the past and any I get here.... :)

    Mark

Hi Mark! You have to use the English spelling of her name from now on on every document or fly tickets and don't forget to indicate fer gender and date of birth when you'll be purchasing tickets. Good luck.

PS: Russian spelling of her name is a history now.

  8. Still have yet to receive an NOA2 on our petition, which is another worry, but now recently worried about the Affidavit of Support. I have been working over the past year full time and definitely make the poverty guidelines and over, but I just saw a post from someone where more evidence was required because the individual's tax returns from the previous year were small in comparison to current income. I am exactly in that spot because I only just started working full time last year. Prior to that, I was married to someone else, filing jointly, and only making 1/2 of what I make now working part-time. So, my 2009 tax return is going to look like #######. Thinking of having a co-sponsor, but will the co-sponsor be required to send in tax returns as well? That could also be a problem. Any advice?

Maybe this NOA2 wait is for a good reason...maybe won't come until I am able to file for 2010, which has me in much better shape. Who knows?

I find this process extremely frustrating. I've spent my life with men that I have had no business spending time with for the past 16 years of my life, and now find the truest love of my life and I can't be with him???? Makes no sense...

My situation is very close to yours. An only difference is that I was married before for 22 years. From what I learned -you can not have a co-sponsor for 134. You have to fill out the form on your own regardless of your income and have a letter explaining the situation, and another 134 form, bank info, taxes and employment verification let's say from your parents. It's like you are buying a car with cosigner.

    Good luck!

  9. that is a great attitude. i watch my friends and employees month in and month out, dating, trolling bars, going out to find what i already have. i spent 12 years in an AWFUL marriage. now i have a man that is my perfect match in every way, and having to spend most of a year apart is a small price to pay in exchange for the rest of our lives together. and if we can make it through a year of long distance, what can't we make it through?

I am with You on this one. An only difference is that my AWFUL marriage ended ten years later than yours.
