Hello all we are still waiting for an interview date. We are hoping the transfer to CSC means no interview. Any one still waiting on getting out of initial review?

Had an RFE asking for Blake's taxes (we sent in this years and last years, to be safe) a few weeks ago, and today we got a letter saying our case was sent to California. I hear this means we might not have to do an interview? I hope that's the case! Still waiting on EAD, feeling a little lost about when things will be happening and what's coming up, but that's my own fault for not doing my research really. I wish I had filed for AP, it's stressing me out that I still can't visit Canada, but oh well. Eager to move forward more.
Wedding in 53 days
We had a similar RFE for taxes a little depressing but at least we are back on track. Hopefully the transfer to California is a good thing for you both. Here's hoping.

I'm kind of lost here the aos packet states that another medical isn't required if the k1 beneficiary arrived with-in the last 12 months, but then it goes on to state form I693 is required.
How can anyone fill out this form accurately if during the medical exam the required vaccines were put into a sealed envelope and giving to the uscis?
any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks
The beneficiary is given the sealed vaccines records which shows what shots were given during their medical in their country. He/she may not need a medical. But if their shots were not complete they will need to see a CS to get the missing shots and have them transcribed into the I-693.
It's really up to you. I have heard of some people simply sending in the attached DS-3025 and not having a problem. (They peeked at the DS-3025) I myself wanted to be safe so we went to a Civil Surgeon since they are designated by the USCIS to look at the forms and complete any paperwork necessary for the packet. Hope this helps.

Hello all I just saw a hot topic on a similar issue I am having. Hopefully someone can help. We got a RFE for Tax returns for the most recent year. I was wondering do we have to send in a new Affadavit of support with our tax papers? I am the petioner/spouse and I have joint sponsor. We are going crazy trying to figure out whether to include it our not.

I also got a RFE for this. I was wondering did you send in a new Affadavit of support with your tax papers? We are going crazy trying to figure out whether to include it our not.

What type of proof is best to bring to the interview? Also what proof did you include in your AOS package? I'm hoping to get a good idea as to whether we sent in enough proof.

Thanks Barbie, I know I will have fun. I always do but this time it is different because I have a chance to do more then ever before. Oh wow so you have never been to Haiti, despite what you see in the news it really is a wonderful place and the people know how to party regardless of the reality.
Yes I agree with you 100%. I tried to watch the Oprah special about Haiti with my husband and was so turned off. He kept asking why are they showing only. The worst of Haiti on tv.

Interview date is given after all of the above. Once your documents have been approved by Haiti messenger they will assign you an interview date.
The K-1 flow chart should help give you more specifics about how long each step will take.

We don't have the hard copy yet but we checked it under our case status.

Congrats Mani!!!! enjoy

We got a RFE and I am so upset. K-1 went pretty smoothly. Not sure what the RFE is about. Could it be because we sent a copy of our Marriage certificate and not a "certified copy"?

Thank you Lise!! It was the best letter in mail that day!!
Her green card arrived today at about noon! So we are done with USCIS for now, and will be filing for ROC at the end of 2013.
We are hoping your green card arrive soon!! Please keep us posted!!
Have a great weekend!!
Congratulation's Bobbya!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chynna sounds like this process has been very stressful for you both. But I am happy that you are in a good place right now. Enjoy your time with family and friends. I pray that you get some much needed mental rest.

Don't use the term "illegal alien" there is a huge legal difference between illegal alien" and "out of status." I am looking at filing as "head of household" that seems to be the best I have seen so far. I was hoping to claim my wife as a dependent but it looks like that can not be done.
Oh I agree with you on the term "Illegal alien". Our partners are not illegal aliens. I should point out though that these were not my words. I simply researched on the turbotax website and this was the closest I could find to our present status/situation. Overall I'm just looking forward to filing and learning about how our new Marrital status effects us all this year.

Hello All
We are december filers too. I'm in. Our Biometrics appointment is on Jan 25. My hubby was a little down today as they would not give him a State ID at the DMV because he was "out of status". They wouldn't even look at our paper work. Anyway looking forward to the bio date.

Congrats on the date
We have a friend in Texas who had her interview on Monday. She said they asked her 2 questions: Is your name really ____? and Is this your correct address? She received her Green Card in the mail the NEXT DAY!! We can only hope to be so lucky lol. Also the green card is valid for 19 months as opposed to the 2 year.
