Yep, I sure did play along. Only because I was intrigued and yet confused at the same time. I guess I was using him as a learning tool in a way. I was interested in what he has to say, why he was saying it and where he was going with it. Like I said, I was interested. Not in him...in what he had to say and where he was going with it. That is REALLY interesting considering "the other girl" is currently in Jamaica right now visiting him. I recieved a call from that "other girl" before she left last week and I warned her.... She did not listen so now I just do not know what to say....I am soooo sorry that both of you are caught up in this....

I am so out of it today, yesterday after everything a convesation I had with Lee was the only that cheered me up.

I am slowly falling ain a state of depression and I am withdrawing form everyone, but i can't help but to come here.

Maybe one of you ladies can help me out.

1) If I was to stop teh petition know, can I go back and reenter it ata later date? Say in about a year or 2.

2) Can you tell me what would cause a denial of visa ?, I tried using the USCIS and the State site but everyting was coming out in gibberish.

If I am not mistaken, after your I-130 is approved and you complete the visa bill portion (ie you pay the immigration fee - $485 or whatever), you have two years to file the I-485 (AOS) to move the case forward to Kingston. I will look for my cover letter but I believe it said that. You may want to post this question outside this thread and have somone more knowlegdgeable answer.

As for cause of visa denials, it varies, but among the reasons listed by folks on visa journey were:

1. USC not having enough money to be above required poverty level and needing a cosponsor
   
2. Not showing enough evidence of having a real relationship
   
3. Consular Officer not believing the couple despite evidence
   
4. Testing positive for drugs or admitting to recent drug use
   
5. Immigrant not being able to prove you are divorced or otherwise eligible to marry (we had one case recently where it was the embassy that informed the USC that dude was married already)
   
6. Unable to clear criminal background check - not receiving a clean police report from every place you lived for more than six months
   
7. Consular officer is simply in a bad mood (just kidding)
   

I know first hand that #4 & #5 are true! Although my case had nothing to do with #5. I am aware of someone who was denied on both.

I dont think I could move to JA year round. I would miss my kids too much. I have told them though as soon as they graduate from HS....momma's buying a home down there. I deserve it! I don't care where or how big....As long as I'm near the water and the people. Which shouldnt be too hard since it is an island.

I have had no luck yet even every month something tells me this is it and then I get my period.LOL

I took my braids down friday night cause I could not bear to look at them anymore...It's short you know how it looks after the braids come out, except I don't have a relaxer. Hi Ladies…

I want to say that all of you had made my journey a very pleasant, humorous and peaceful one. However, I just want to say that God was surely watching over me when Kirk got his denial last April. As hard as it has been to understand why, I now know the reason. Kirk was not 100% honest with me and was in at least 1 additional relationship. I have always been speculating but it has now been confirmed. It is very disturbing how twisted his mind is and how he is able to manipulate my mind in to believing that I am wrong. I am hurt, sad, and angry. But I know I will be okay. I always am. I wish you all the best. I consider many of you good friends of mind. I just needed to get this off my chest and tell people who would understand being in a LDR with a Jamaican. Most of my friends here would have a “I told ya so” attitude. Thanks ladies. I love you all.
