  1. have you heard anything yet about a new interview date? i am in the same boat. had an interview scheduled for the 3rd and nvc cancelled it a day later. we're case complete for a month now and still waiting.

hi. no new interview date yet. waiting here too. did you call NVC again?

    Jedi !

    Skywalker !

    What news?

no news yet. I tried your suggestion to schedule it through www.ustraveldocs.com but a VJ member here suggested not to do it as it will be a waste of time and US Embassy Manila wont honor it. Told to just wait an email from NVC.

    thanks!

I got the same letter for my Mom. But a day after I received an email from the NVC, Victoria of NVC called me that they have a computer glitch that they send a thousand of applicants to have a interview on the same day, and unfortunately, my mom is one of them. I plan to call again for an update this week.

we're on the same boat and I still keep on checking my email for some good news. have you talked to nvc yet?

  2. Hello all:

I need to find some answers on this website. A bit of history, we received an appointment letter from NVC for interview supposedly on Oct 3rd. A couple of days after, they emailed again stating the appointment was done by mistake. I searched for ways to get another schedule with the US Embassy in Manila. This is where I find out of ustraveldocs.com. I registered to this site to make an appointment schedule for my parents upon the recommendation of the VJ members here. I got an appointment through this site but when I told my parents that I got a sched for them, they doubted me.

    A few questions:

    1. How authentic the website is?

    2. I'm having second thoughts scheduling through this site as I'm afraid it will screw my parents visa process.

    3. If we go ahead with the appointment, can my parents use the original letter sent by NVC? Can they use the letter to take their medical examination in St. Luke's?

    Thanks in advance! :)

  3. Did you really, truly, talk with a Supervisor, or no ?

    ----

ok - set up a ustraveldocs.com account and see if you can self-schedule.

    Do that know.

Concurrently - call/email the IV Unit in Manila, ask for them to reschedule you. Do That whilst they are open wink.png

Then, to see if you were rescheduled - call the DoS Hotline Thursday, when they are open.

Excelsior ! Go Get Em !

Hi. I already got a schedule for interview for both my parents. I'll call DoS on Monday to check if it's already in the system. I have a few questions:

    1. Can they use the appointment letter they originally sent and bring it to the interview? Or will they send me another appointment letter?

    2. Can they use the same appointment letter for the Medical Exam?

This is my first time to hear about the scheduling online so everything is not clear to me and I'm just learning this site.

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi! :)

We didnt bother (afraid to ask the supervisor) to ask to be transferred. How can I politely ask to talk to the supervisor?

Okay. I just registered at ustraveldocs.com account. I noticed you need to pay a visa fee of $165 for the green card. Do I really need to pay this on top of the $260 visa fee we already paid the NVC? What's does case ID mean? Is it the NVC case number?

Also, I created the account as the petitioner but can I register my beneficiaries at this website?

thanks in advance and all your help are greatly appreciated.

    :)

  5. oh come on - you should call them now. they are open for 3 hours and 45 minutes more.

just got off the phone with NVC. I tried asking if we can get another schedule, she said they cant do anything about it as it was Manila Embassy who requested that they cant accommodate our interview as of the moment. For now, she said to wait for another email from NVC for a new sched of interview.

  6. Our case got completed right before the new change of the DS-260 and we called NVC to verify they said no in our case, but it may differ pending on progress at NVC for each case so it does not hurt to call NVC and ask them and ask them again to verify by calling later and talking to another rep, if they all say same thing its safe to assume what they are saying is correct.

i'll call them tonight. need to finish things up around the house. :) thanks!

  7. My fiance called the number provided in the cancellation email and they offered her available alternative dates.

Good question to ask them when you do. But this is on their website:

"Effective September 1, 2013, the DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa Application & Registration, and DS-261, Choice of Address and Agent will replace the paper-based DS-230, Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration (parts I and II) and the DS-3032, Choice of Address and Agent. The DS-260 and DS-261 are fully integrated online electronic visa application forms used to collect the necessary application information from persons seeking immigrant visas. These online forms are completed and submitted online to the Department of State via the Internet through the Consular Electronic Applications Center (CEAC). The forms may be partially completed, saved online to finish, and submitted later; or the forms can be completed and submitted in a single session.

"To determine if your petition began processing in time to join the program and to access Form DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa Application, and Form DS-261, Choice of Address and Agent, click Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) website. After logging in, follow the directions displayed noting the following:

"If CEAC provides you with the option of completing a DS-260 (note it may be grayed-out because you have not paid your Immigrant Visa Fee), you are required to complete the DS-260.

"If CEAC provides you with online payment information only, you are NOT required to complete the DS-260.

If your petition did not go through the NVC process (for example, you filed your petition overseas), your invoice ID number will be the principal applicants date of birth (YYYYMMDD)."

thanks! will ask if there are available dates. glad to get in touch with you here. good luck on your interview!

I submitted DS-230 first week of August. I'll ask them later when I call. :)

    1. maybe, maybe not. depends on what's what for casefile status at NVC.

    2. NO.

For clarity - call into NVC, talk with supervisor, nowish.

What's preventing you from using a telephone, calling into NVC?

thank you! I'll call in today. will let you know what happens. :)

  8. Hi, we have the same fate. My parents interview date (Oct 3) also got cancelled and for reasons we dont know. We called the NVC and they said that they sent the email by mistake (NVC doesnt make mistakes; they even are the ones who looks for an error in the documents that we file)..

    Question:

    1. Can we use the same letter to proceed with the Medical examination at St. Luke's?

    2. If we proceed with the interview, will US Embassy Manila reject us?

    3. What's the best way to approach this?

We plan on calling the NVC first thing in the morning. I need my parents with me because I have a son who will be having a heart surgery. He's only 4 months old and I would like them to be with me for support.

  9. we had the same interview date, October 3rd. all I can think of why they canceled the date is because Pres. Obama will visit Manila on October 6th.

But we wonder, NVC doesn't make mistakes. why the same date? what will happen to our case? will they send them back to uscis? is our case canceled? im panicking. I need my parents to be with me as my son will be having a heart surgery.

  10. Dear All:

Good day! I am in receipt of this letter from the NVC. A couple of days ago, we got a very exciting news that my parents already have an interview date. This got excited, emotions were at the highest, and planning things for their medical. Then one Wednesday morning, we got a voice message from the NVC that they're cancelling the interview without any reason. Is this even possible? What are the possible implications of this? Any one had the same experience as ours?

I'm attaching a copy of the letter. Thanks in advance and hoping someone can enlighten us.

  11. thanks for your reply momanuel.

I'm petitioning both my parents so I have 4 copies of all of the documents needed.

4 copies of W2s (joint sponsor and primary sponsor)

4 copies of tax returns 2012, 2011, 2010 (joint sponsor and primary sponsor)

4 copies of employment letter (joint sponsor and primary sponsor)

Do I need 4 copies of the cover page too? or I can put them in one envelope and put them together in one big envelope?

    thanks again! :)

  12. Hello All:

I'm sending over the AOS documents to NVC tomorrow.

Here are the list of documents I'm sending to them:

    1. I-864 (petitioner)

    2. I-864A (joint sponsor)

    3. 2012, 2011, 2010 tax returns (2 copies each case)

    4. Certificate of Employment from both our employers.

    5. W2 2012 tax forms

    6. Cover letter

    7. Cover page.

Will this be enough? Am I missing something?

    Thanks in advance.

  13. Yes, separate Affidavit of Support packets for each applicants/beneficiaries.

    thank you. :)

Sorry for being completely off topic on this, but do I need to send a verification of employment letter along with the AOS packet or copies of Tax returns will be sufficient enough to merit approval?

:) again, thank you. I dont want to create another thread just for small questions that I have.
