in panama they considered 17 under age,,what if my fiancee lived in a different country underage,,does she still need a police record?..

im really sorry to keep making new posts about this but south africa is giving us a really hard time!.. if she lived in south africa under age , do we still need it? what rules apply?

Yes some countries require you to show cause to obtain a police certificate. Your fiance will get a letter from the US consulate (I think it's packet 4)and she needs to show this when she applies for the police certificate.

I lived in Hong Kong and Canada. It took me only one day to get one in Canada but almost two months for the Hong Kong police certificate.

so u saying wait till i(my foreign fiancee) receives the packets from the consulate... ive been advised to gather it now so when the time comes for interview and stuff, its done quick and u dont have to delay time! days, weeks!

IM USC, my foreign fiancee is in panama.. My question is, I READ THAT everyone goes to the interview together, itmakes it alot more easier which is completely understandable,,however with work and my busy life here as it is, IM unable to go due to using up all my sick and vacation days to go to panama to see her during the time of noa1-noa2...Is this gonna be a problem? will they get suspicious?..im getting alil concerned here!

so how would the procedure work for my foreign fiancee in panama.. I just received my NOA2 in email. so it should be coming int he mail any day now!...i believe they gonna send my petition to NVC and then they will ship it out to Consulate in PANAMA.. what is a MNL case number,where will i find that?..i have trouble finding anyone thats had prior experience from panama so any help is greatly appreciated!

i guess all i need to send her is the affidavit of support and proof of earnings right?. since they sending her what she needs?..no use shipping out all of the documents i filled out from the first stage?

You wait for yet another eternity at yet another government facility. We're pushing 3 weeks without even being received at NVC, but others get in and out in less than a week. It's all a waiting game.

call the embassy/consulate i hear u gotta push them too!..

from what i've read here, most petitions are sent to nvc first and then to the embassy/consulate where ur fiance(e) lives. after it gets there, they are going to send ur SO packet 3 (and maybe 4, depending on the country). check this out, it's very helpful

Whats "SO"..so once it reaches panama consulate, do they send me or HER the packets?

I was told that i CANNOT get a police record until they ask for it!? is this true?.how come "grandacel" got them in 1 day and it took you(snikerz) 1 month?..

My fiancee has lived in South africa only for more then 6 mos. and ever since been in panama...

Whats the next step after receiving noa2? just so i can be ahead of the game... ive read other Vj'ers timelines but everyone has different things, its quite confusing!..

once ur approved, do they sent the next packet straight to the foreign fiances address/embassy/consulate?...

I got my NOa2 email approval notice 5/2/11 yesterday as well..i was at work and didnt expect it at all.. I thank god i didnt have to go thru 6-7 months like most vj'ers and i definately feel everyones aggravation and pain.. Mine got done in 5 months and 2 weeks!..

But we still have half way to go, Right?!..whats next for us?

Ive never heard anyone talk about this.. When do they normally ask for this and how long will this take/delay the process?...

so i just received a mail today saying they "mailed me a notice that we have approved this i-129f petition for fiance. please follow instructions on the notice..

Now Just last night or the night before i Emailed my congressman/Senator and both emailed me back asking for signature of privacy act to release info. to them.. Theres no need for me to do that now , Correct?.. I dont need any assistance from them since i have been approved noa2

well isnt contacting the sen and congress gonna be the same result.. theyll tell me its ONPT...?..i have people saying theyve got a service request 5 and half months!...

3 more days which will make mines to 5months and 2 weeks im calling for a Service request!..

I contacted my Congressman and Senators . They are mixed reviews here on this but they were able to get my case expedited based on ONPT. It helped and i received my NOA2 after several days. Try it --it would not hurt to contact them .Good luck .

what do u mean when u say expedited and ONPT?..and i see ur in florida as well,, will you and i have the same congressman and senators? im in orlando fl,,If so my 5 months have just passed, can u be kind enough to send me the exact number to call and advise me on what to say?..

If its only you and your fiancee - in the continental US - your household size will be 2.

Look at the chart and you'll see you need income of at least $18,387/year - proved with paystubs, tax returns, letter of employment, etc.

If you have dependents (kids, past sponsored immigrants, etc) - your household size will be bigger.
