I am unsure if this is the right forum group to ask this but my wife got her green card almost about 1 yr ago and my parents and family are telling me she cant really travel until 2 yrs after when they send her ANOTHER green card?.. I am unsure what are our next steps are after obtaining our first green card... are we finished with the whole process or is there more left?! please help i would greatly appreciate it

Im a bit late sending out this application and im in a bit of a bind...Can anyone explain to my what this i 693 form is about? I filed i-485 form with my fiancee and she already got her vaccinations and medical done for the interview at the consulate she acquired the visa from? Why do i need to do this again? and if so, can i do it at a later date and just send the other packet in?

2. i still havent filled out a SSN Application yet and i wanted to know if i need to put her full name given to her at birth or can i put my last name on the i-485 form(1st line)?..

Can i do the reverse? instead of applying for ssn, can i get married/get the marriage certificate first?..if so, what do i have to do?just go to my local courthouse?

they havent asked for much, i didnt send her the whole packet i sent out for the 129f visa..i actually havent sent her ANYTHING yet! and shes on the packet 3!

My fiancee interview is soon ,,she needs my i 134 form,,can i just fill out the form, sign it, scan it and email it to her, along with the scanned w2,tax returns, paystubs and Employment letter, how will they know if its original! the original and copies all look like!,,only difference is signature is in INK!

now we gotta play more and more waiting games! uggh, im still waiting on that police record from south africa which is gonna take 6-8 weeks anyways!...What if the interview date is for sometime in 2 weeks but i dont have police clearance cause South africa police tell me thats how long it takes them the earliest 30 days!..whats the procedure?

ok now it says they received it monday at 10.24am...my fiancee called them with my case number @3.30pm and they said they still havent received it!...maybe its not the right tracking!?????.....im confused why they said that to her!

well im not gonna go ask for irs transcript..i have my jobs w2 for 2010 and i have the 1099 tax return, although it says "preview only" in the background when i printed it.Is that going to be a problem!?

in the Affidavit of support.. We dont necesarily need tax returns right? because the tax returns do not show the gross income, they show Adjusted gross income AFTER taxes.. What matters is before taxes so why would u show W2?..

i told my fiancee to gather police record from south africa which she stayed for 4 yrs.. We got the fingerprints done and about to send it off to her uncle which resides there.. whats bothering me is that, She doesnt have a South african ID number, and thats what they require when u go pick up ur police record!...does anyone know a way around this PLEAASSE!

the problem is not tha,t the problem is They want her to come pick it up and she cant!

alternatively according to the Department of State she could give someone "power of attorney" and authorize them to get it for her

how do i do a"power of attorney"? forms i gotta fill and send in?

Foreign fiancee is in PANAMA. needs police record from South africa.. To pick it up they need a ID NUmber From South africa, Which she never got since she was on a student Visa!...What are my options?

what country did her visa expire for? USA? OR South Africa?

for South Africa...we have people over there that are related to her to pick up for her, but they told them my fiancee had to come.
