thanks so much. it was surreal seeing him after a month and seeing him here at our place walking up(almost was in shock, lol) but it was truly the happiest moment of my life and we're so glad to be together and a family now...i can remember how many times i sat and thought this was never going to end

i would call dhl everyday. my husband contacted them and was able to get the visa same day as we found out...

congratulations i am so happy for you and hope you can find good flights. we booked ours on expedia it was pretty good flight too. 2 stops small layovers and poe was newark which had really good reviews on here...i guess wendy, you're next....

you still have time for him to get his visa before christmas. if he got his visa now would he be able to fly out right away?

I found for us it was so difficult to get a hold of anyone in the embassy to talk to but one women told me on the phone to email the emergency visa services at ccea@state.gov. I just told them our case was at the 3 month mark and I got an email in 3 days saying the AP was over and now the consular just needed to review the case. This part took 4 days and then they said they would send it.

i think you should try to call dept of state and see what they say. just tell them you want to check the status of your immigrant visa case and give them your case number. I think they would have told you in email if you were in ap though...sounds like you may get your visa pretty soon. lol your interview was nov 20th and you're already bugging out..hahaha well...take it easy

you can read katieomars comments below these comments..scroll down...it's supposed to be for emergency visas i think she emailed them at 3 mo mark i emailed them because our family was being torn apart waiting for them to finish what they were doing..not that they consider that an emergency...they could care less i am sure..

Ap is different for everyone, case depending, but it involves document checks, name checks ...hency why they call it "administrative" processing...time on it is unknown and they wont give you much info except pending or not and that is the hard part of not knowing. Don't worry about AP till you are actually there because you may not even get it...

they did keep his passport but as i later found out we were in AP pending my sons passport arriving then 2 weeks after my son received his passport we were taken out of AP and the visa was issued..

Hi naba, first of all if you can try and relax it will make things so much easier on you. The consular was super nice and just ask him a few questions ...most of our questions were centered around sponsorship and if my son had his crba yet because as you know if that had not been completed before he would have gotten a denial or a 221g....but alhamdulillah we finalized everything 2 days before the interview. We were not told AP we were told APPROVED and you should get your visa in couple week...

boy have i just started something with this lol but really they open themselves up for this kinda thing when they constantly give us such vague and uninformed answers to our questions and expect us to just sit in the dark...sorry but they made immigration into a "business" when they started charging exorbitant fees for everything and therefore we should have more rights in regards to information and should always know what is going on with our visa cases

Wendy, you and patiently waiting read my comments below from katie omar...i did what she did and emailed the emergency email. i like her received a response not long after that stating my ap had ended and was in ar. lol, maybe they just forward it to embassy afterwards and maybe i should not "advocate" using that email to everyone but i did and i am sure others have. I suppose you could try that

Congrats i am so happy for you. bet your glad this mess is over with immigration so now you can plan your lives...glad to come here and find this. hope no ap or very short one...

I am praying for you all, and pray for us as well, he has not gotten out yet ..he said the dollar went up and the connection is really bad there and he was only able to send me half the money to book his flight...i am so worried
