Yeah, when writing to the United States GOVERNMENT a professional letter is what its called for (feel free to google what one looks like). Is it a HUGE deal not to have done so? No, but if there is the opportunity to edit it...why not?

Depends on where your located in the US. I don't see your state listed here. On the forms it should tell you what processing center you will be out of. Either VSC (Vermont) and CSC (California). Initially you mail everything into TX and then it gets forwarded to your service center. Good Luck.

I already sent to him the form G 325a signed by me, and the letter of intend to marry within 90 days of my arrival to US, and the other letter telling about our relationship, but on the letter to intend to marry, I didnt put my address and I didnt put the USCIS address as they ask for this. So, I need to know what´s the USCIS address in UTAH.

That and a $1.30 will get you a cup of coffee... No requirement for a "professionally" composed letter or any usage of the USCIS address. The requirement is a STATEMENT of intent not a letter of intent.

"I plan on marrying my fiance(e) within 90 days of entry in the USA." Is a simple statement of intent and works just fine for USCIS purposes

It usually takes about 4 months to get NOA2, and then about another month to schedule an interview. So, the whole process is 5-6 months!

The first part of the Fiancee visa process is really more about the US citizen and not so much about you. He submits the I-120f petition to immigration. This is basically asking the government for permission to have a 'family member' (in this case, a fiancee) apply for a visa to come to the US so they can get married. The government will look to make sure he is eligible to apply for this type of immigration benefit - that he is a US citizen, that he hasn't applied for a lot of fiancee visas in the past,, that he is not already married to someone else, and that you have met face to face within the last 2 years and have proof of this. If all of this information is provided, the US citizen almost always receives approval.

Once his petition is approved, the focus shifts to you. You now have permission to apply for the K-1 Visa, so the US Consulate in your home country will send you all of the paperwork and information you need to know to apply. Your educational background isn't important in this process. They will want to know about your health, about any connections you might have to criminal/terrorist organizations, whether you have a criminal record, that you are also eligible to marry someone by being either single, widowed or divorced, and that you are in a real relationship with your fiance and not just interested in coming to the US to live. They will also check to make sure your fiancee can afford to support you (he will have to provide you with proof of his financial situation so you can show the Consulate staff). They will then interview you to get an idea of who you are and how valid your relationship is, and to make sure all of the other pieces of information are available and correct. Once you pass the interview, they will give you the visa.

So, it will be a long enough time for all of this to happen. I know how important it is for you to be with your fiance. The best thing both of you can do right now is to learn all you can about the immigration process and paperwork, and to work on your relationship. Read everything you can, including all of the forms and instructions. You will find good advice at the top of this forum as well in the pinned topics. If you do this, then by the time your interview comes you should both be ready for it .

Catiane, while US passport photos don't have the date written on the picture, unless the date is actually obscuring the image of your face, I don't think it will be a problem. It will show that the photograph is recent, and since it is being used for a file and not a passport, the standards are not the same. Your photo will eventually be placed on a visa but that will happen at the Consulate level, not in the US, and if they need a new photograph of you without the date on the front, they will let you know and you can take care of it then. I doubt it will be a problem with the I-129f petition.

Mine didn't have a date in it. I simply went to Walmart where they can take passport type photo's for about 7 USD. My fiancee was visiting the month prior to my sending in the I129F so I took her to Walmart for the photo's and we did most of the filling out of the forms etc so most of the I129F was done by the time she flew back to the UK,

Hi... I am a new member and I would like to know if the USCIS can find out about all informations written on the form for the K 1 visa?

Can they find out about where have you been lived, your education degree...? I am brazilian and my fiancé´s is applying for the K 1 visa? Everytime I read about it, I get more nervous, it seems to be very complicated.
