  1. Ugh - I'm out again. After seeing the heartbeat last week, they couldn't find it on the ultrasound this week and my HCGs started going down. Had the D&C yesterday. We're pretty upset that it happened again. They won't even do any tests until three in a row either....

  2. CONGRATS to the new mommies!!!!

We had our second ultrasound today - in a week the baby grew a week, so I think we were off on dates. We got to see the baby, and the heartbeat! Still not out of the woods yet, but it was such a good day!

  3. So - I went in for an early ultrasound on Monday - I *thought* I was about 7.5 weeks, only measured 5.5 weeks though. I am *really hoping* I was really mistaken on my dates. Having a repeat scan Monday to check for growth and will get my second HCG back tomorrow to see if it's doubling properly.

I am super scared that I am going to miscarry again.

    Need positive thoughts!!!!!

  4. Sooo.... I have my first appointment next Friday. It seems so far away!!! And it's just to meet the nurse and do paperwork. I REALLY want to get an early ultrasound done to make sure everything's ok after what happened last time - I am a giant worry wart.

I hope everyone else is doing ok!!!!

  5. I'm still pregnant  haha... I need to stress less!

I also need to find a doctor or a midwife... I haven't found a doctor since we moved and switched insurance (I really really miss tricare).

I was wondering what you guys have chosen? OB/GYN? Midwife?

I am thinking that I would rather got to a midwife... but would like to hear feedback :)

  6. I'm pregnant again :) Yay! I need good vibes for this one to "stick".

YEY to you...:dance::dance: I am so happy for you and very excited. Good luck and have a good pregnancy. Do you know how far along you are?

I can't for the life of me remember the exact date of my last period..... I'm thinking 4-5 weeks. It's still VERY early, so I am cautiously optimistic :) Not telling a sole (except my husband, duh) until 12 weeks this time.

  7. Honest - it's going to be tough to juggle baby and career no matter what job you are in. I also travel A LOT for work (75%+) and am not sure 100% if the timing is right, but life is short, you only get one go at it... I'm not getting any younger and things always work out in the end :) I say take the job if you really want it and then let nature run it's course!

As for me - I am impatient and tested agin this afternoon with a different brand of test - got another faint positive.... feeling kinda nauseous, pretty sure it's just nerves though!

    Well…

It’s a clean new month for me. Like I mentioned in my last post, there are some things brewing, and I don’t know if it’s smart or not to try and get pregnant now. We’re not avoiding it, but again, what are the odds since we’ve been consciously trying for at least 5 months and nothing? I don’t know what the correct procedure is, but maybe if I post it here I can get some insight…

I am being offered a job in a new company, this job will also require travel (not as crazy as my actual job – but it is definitely all year round), it is a bigger company, possibly with an increase of at least 15% of my actual salary. This is a Corporate position in a really-really big company based here in Pitts with operations all over the world, however, my travels would be only US, Canada and Latin America (as opposed to Europe all the time now). In my actual position the possibility of a pregnancy has been already discussed with my boss, and she’s open to it and even though she has not specifically said it, I know that there will be certain concessions regarding the traveling part. The pay is not great (I know I am being underpaid considering the market and my actual position), there was a promise of an increase by mid-year (I got promoted in January and was in a kind of training period – which wasn’t specifically defined either). The traveling in my actual company is quite seasonal, we travel a lot during the first six months of our fiscal year and then trips are local (as in very local) during the second half. On the other hand, my boss well, she’s kind of a gray cloud… and even though she’s totally nice to me, she’s the kind of person that is able to drain all excitement from a situation, and even though I don’t mind it too much, it takes a toll on me when we travel.

I don’t know if it’s appropriate to bring the topic of a possible pregnancy (soon one since we’re seeking) to my prospective employees, and I don’t know if they will make concessions (wont know until I tell them about it right?), and I don’t know if they will keep on trying to hire me if I come clean with this situation (but then not telling them will not be really honest), the money topic, I am sure that my actual company will make an offer if I tell them that money is my drive for leaving them (which actually is not – not that more money wouldn’t be good, but I am not in dire need of it as of now).

I should maybe sit and write down what are the pro’s and con’s of both companies and make up my mind, some days I am totally like ready to leave right now, and some others the thought of leaving is absolutely scary… (also, this is my first job in the US and I kinda have a sentimental attachment to it, since they waited for me for 3 months to hire me, and now that I am in the new position, management (higher management) are noticing me and including me in meetings and stuff.

Aaaargh!! It’s such a difficult decision… any insight will be welcomed…

  8. I hope everone is well.

I came to let you guys know that Ana had a miscarriage over the weekend. Ana is fine physically. Emotionally she is better now.

    Daniel

    :energetic:

Just wanted to say I was sorry (F) Me and my husband went through the same thing in February. Hang in there.

  9. Congrats to Nizzy & Irisheyes :) Can't wait to see pics!!!!!!

Me and Dave are doing ok - we're moving up to Boston next week and I'm starting a big new job & stuff, so probably going to wait at least 6-8 month before TTC again. Everything happens for a reason, and hey at least now we know all the "plumbing" is in working order!!! Thanks to everyone for you comments

  10. I have noidea about the immigration questions - but just want to say CONGRATS on the baby - not sure if you remember me from way back when... you actually got married 1 day after us! We're going to start trying for a baby soon, too... just wanted to popin and congratulate :)

  11. ...Not that killing babies is a good chioce.. but if they already use other choice like birth control and/or morning after pill I dont think they would have to choose abortion.

Excuse me, but you've made an erroneous line crossing here!

I would agree if you said "birth control pill, diaphragm, rubber (condom) and/or spermicide". However, mifeprestol ("morning after pill") is an abortifacient--so using it means the woman HAS chosen abortion, just a method which "looks cleaner" (actually, the possible complications of mifeprestol make it a WORSE choice).

I'm too lazy to read the whole thing, but the morning after pill is neither mifepristol or an abortifacient.

The morning after pill is a series of pills with a higher dose of the same hormones found in birth-control pills. THe morning after pill prevents implantation of a fertilized egg.

This is MUCH different than mifepristol AKA RU-486 which causes miscarriage of an establised pregnancy.

  12. The tips are already built in to the drink prices!

Cruise workers only get tips as their pay. This statement is incorrect.

On our cruise, they just added the 15% gratuity automatically.
