I was in DFW airport yesterday and I am positive I saw her. I would have asked-but we were trying to catch a flight.

Anyone know? It got me thinking....Did she go to Pakistan? Did Javed make it here? What became of Shonnie?

hi Here is an update about me. I learned of this thread from people i still talk to. No I was not suspended. hahahaha I had left VJ not because, of VJ or the people I left to work on my career, and education. so I had to turn the page. I no longer work for the airlines or the airport. however, I do live by DFW airport. I currently have a good job working at a hospital as a security superviser/ dispatcher.

Me and Javed divorced Last year with alot of hesitation on both our parts. however, we talk on a daily basis still. He has been asking me to remarry him 1001 times since the divorce. I hesitate because, I cant digest another 4 year wait from hell. He currently lives in Paris France. While I would love to go live in paris france with my true love- I have to do one important thing first! that is finish my schooling. Mean while I do have a vists planned soon to spend time with my javed in paris france.

I still attend university and will graduate with my Masters July 18,2010. I will be attending law school soon after graduation. I plan on practicing Criminal Law.

I just bought a brand new house in Arlington texas. God has been good to me certainly. I am healthy and life is good. oh and my dog he is happy and healthy too.. lol

Hope this post finds you well. i just wanted to share the good news and ask for a little insight...

Habibi arrived 4 days ago via JFK... Alhamdulilah. He passed through immigration and customs no problem, got the work stamp, and everyone was really very nice to him. I am so thankful for that...

We are getting settled and i'm so happy he's here... but it's really hard. We are bickering all the time (mostly about $$ and his smoking, which is about his health and more $$), and i find myself asking if we will really be able to do this? It's not him... he's my Habeeb (except for the excessive smoking habit that somehow increased over the past year ) (i don't mind a few here and there), it's me... i'm the one taking issue with everything, and i'm starting to doubt that i'm even cut out for marriage. It's only been 4 days... is this normal for 4 days? i thought we'd at least have "honeymoon period".

i'm quite upset and find myself sad a lot of the time... and that can't make anything easier for him... he traveled a million miles just to be with me.

I think you will be fine. you both have to learn each other and understand each other compleately. it takes alot of time maybe a year or two. right now you both never lived with each other and you have to learn each others temperment and also what is acceptable to you. You both are a team bottom line. when things bother you mainly his smoking make it tolorable by asking him to smoke outside. he wont quit smoking until he is ready. when he does offer the support.

as far as money he will worry about money until he gets a job. you know its his culture to take care of you and not you take care of him. he will tell you NO to things because, he feels it is not right to him right now. Just understand him and allow him to undertstand you.

take the edge off things by doing things you both enjoy. last piece of advice stop bickering..

if its not for the support of the TEAM then drop it .. pick your battles right.

There was a time Javed had something in his lungs. the Dr would not give him a report because, of the calcuim there. the DR recommended he see a dr. once he went to the specialist it was determined his lungs were fine - he got clearance. he had all this gunk in his lungs it made the report look bad. so maybe the OP case is similar.

The Op really is asking a valid question. There are people here who have gotton married and later find AFTER the petition reaches the embassy the marriage certificate is not valid!! Thats happend to VJ members. The reverse has happend too where they thought they were SINGLE and turned the embassy belived their simple dedication/ engagement ceremony was considered a valid marriage. they had to refile. either way there is alot of headache and drama. btw, we had a VJ member whos husband made it to the USA it was during the AOS process she finds that she is Not divorced properly!! now thats an ugly feeling.

Has anyone had their NOA2 from USCIS, IV packet approved from NVC only to have their I-130 sent back to USCIS?

I just called NVC and they said that our application is complete but they sent it back to USCIS. They couldn't give me any reason why it was returned.

Contacted USCIS and they said that the State Department requested that the USCIS to review the application?

#######? The USCIS already approved it, so why do they have to go through it again? Now they said I gotta wait another friggin 90-120 days for them to make a decision.

what will happen next is the USCIS will sent the I-130 to the servicing center. the local USCIS will perhaps call you < the USC> in for an interview or they could ask for more information or flat azz deny the petition.
