  1. Thanks for all the replies. I know it is a little thing, but when a woman is pregnant, she wants what she wants and doesn't like to be told she cann't have something, just because I don't know what it is.I have been a clueless bachelor for 55 years.I heard of morning sickness, but I didn't realize it lasted all day, and I didn't realize that pregnant woman were cold all the time, even when its 90 degrees out.She won't allow the air conditioner and I am burning up.But isn't it wonderful to be part of the start of a new life.

    Congratulations!!

Pregnancy has different impact on women, especially in the first three months! It is very natural!! Get what she wants to eat! In China, pregnant women's eating habits sometimes are used to predict the gender of the baby. However I have no knowledge about the flavor of yellow fruit. When she is happy, then the baby is growing happily.

  2. NOA2批准之后,NVC将发给你一封信,希望你支付AOS费用(404)。 收到这封信后,你可以决定是否选择EP(electronic processing).

  3. My fiance is attempting to get her birth certificate now in her hukuo, but the local officials are saying that they have never heard of this paperwork before, much less the little white book that people on this forum talk about sometimes. For reference, we are in a small town in southern Jiangxi province, and her hukuo is extremely remote. If we go to a larger provincial city, will they be any help? At this point, my fiance is extremely frustrated as no one will help us.

I do not know who the officials are. If you go to a notary office (Gong zheng chu) even in the small town, people there know every thing for sure. It is better to be done at a notary office in the city where her Hukou is. But if it is impossible, go to a bigger city near to her hometown.

  4. You mean her birth record or yours? Confuse. I will be going to GUZ next week.

What kind of fee did you pay at Guz besides the medical exam? Is the Visa fee the IV paid on the payment portal?

Yes, you have paid all. If she gets pink and chooses mailing visa to her, she needs to pay EMS mailing fee (RMB80).

  5. Sorry to hear the blue slip caused by wrong place about translation. Hope it is the only reason why a blue slip. After you mail right birth certificate, I think you may need to wait for two weeks to process.

NVC just collects documents and Guangzhou reviews and judges.

Actually your story does ring an alert for who think Guangzhou will accept notarized and translated Chinese documents done in US.

  6. OF-169 says nothing about providing tax returns. Unless I missed it somewhere.

However, I do have my last three years on my computer (Turbo Tax). I used Turbo Tax. If this is really needed, is this sufficient? They are not signed, isnt required by Turbo Tax (electronic signature I think).

Just print out the first two pages of your return in 2008, 2009 and 2010. No signature is acceptable. We had one-year no signature. They accepted it. Submit tax return along with a copy of your W-2 each year (w-2 is a supporting evidence for your tax return)

  7. Once the file arrives at the NVC, I will be following the steps to OPTIN to EP.

I am planning after successful OPTIN to email a scanned and signed DS-3032. I have seen posts where people just email that information in following the sample template. If I understand correctly, emailing the DS-3032 would have to originate from the beneficiary's email address. For those who have emailed the DS-3032, is there a confirmation of acceptance?

---Fill DS3032 which is available online. She signs it and scans it. It is OK if you want to send it to NVC attached to OPTIN email. My husband did. No any problem. You will receive an email with new case number starting with GZO. Before it, you may receive AOS ($88) and IV ($404) bills with old case number which are generated before they transfer you to EP. Just go ahead to pay them. If not go through, then wait for days since their system is updated your case to EP.

AOS and accompanying documents with that seems straightforward, scan and email.

    --Yes.

When it comes time to send the DS-230, I know this also includes the civil documents (marriage, police, and birth certificates). I also want to include evidence that I sent to the USCIS with the initial petition because I believe NVC personnel will not take the time to scan it in to the system. In addition to evidence I sent to USCIS, I would want to include some additional records to show our communication is ongoing.

---You do not need to submit any evidences/documents which NVC dose not ask. It will delay your case. See NVC website. You can let your wife bring them to her interview.

  8. Hello every one! I have been reading the forums for weeks now and I really want to say how much help these have been. The waiting with out reading about other couples experience would be almost unbearable. Now for my question: My fiance works for the government and is a CCP member. We are waiting for a interview date. Is being a CCP member an automatic blue slip? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Yes, it is automatic blue. You will find how to overcome it at http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?/topic/42851-a-question-about-ccp/

  9. Thank You for the kind and understanding reply. I found out that even though I signed Affidavit of Support my obligation to the government only begins after my fiancee becomes a permanent resident. If she comes back begging then I will send her back to China. I am good man (naive) and this was not the first time a women took advantage of my nature. I feel sorry for those women including my latest fiancee who has to live they life through without a heart.

It seems you will live with it until real trouble knocks your door instead of taking actions now to prevent the trouble. It likes your house roof is broken but you do not want to fix it till a rain day. It does not make a lot of sense to me. Maybe you have untold story. Good luck.

  11. I think you are little rush in the process since only 15 days from the date you submitted your documents. After NVC receives your AOS and IV, they will review them and make sure they have everything they need. If not, NVC will send you a REF. If yes, they will send you an email saying all necessary documents they need are received. They will start to set an interview date for her. Then your case will be forwarded to Guangzhou. It took about a month for us. Hope yours quicker. Everyone is waiting in the line.

  12. As others said, IMMIDIATELY report to USCIS to PROTECT YOU before she files claims to against you, or comes back to you for marriage after she realizes the consequences of her running away. I heard some stories that the women file claims (like men's abuse claims) to put men into jails/trails, then get green card automatically.

Also by filing report to USCIS, you will be saved if you meet a right one oversea and want to file K1 or CR1/IR1 again in the future.

Also by filing report to USCIS, you also are doing a right thing to protect others who would possibly be hurt by her in the future, and stand up for justice.

You are lucky that you did not marry her. Otherwise, you will be responsible for all bills from her such as what you worry about.

  13. The petition for my wife in China has been approved after 5 months.

As I understand, the next step is for my wife to receive a letter from NVC.

1, DO I also receive a letter from NVC too?

2, When they send letter/package to my wife, do they use the address in PinYin, or in Chinese? Has anybody experienced delivery problem?

    Thanks in advance.

You will get a same letter from NVC with DS3032 form, so does your wife. I can not recall the address in mail is in Pinyin or Chinese Characters. But do not worry, if it is in Pinyin, the post office usually will transfer it into Chinese characters. Whatever, it is not important since you can download DS 3032 form online.

After you get the letter, you will have a case number. From here, you can choose electronic processing OPIN. Study electronic procssing. Since then all communication with NVC will be done through emails.

  14. Guangzhou do use EMS. You can not find the tracking maybe because the EMS tracking number is not right. Did you put EMS in front? EMS and number have to be put together.

You emailed Guangzhou today, then you will get reply tomorrow (Monday in China). They usually start replying at 9:00am Beijing time. I am positve you will hear from Guangzhou tomorrow since they always reply timely and efficiently based on my experience.

  15. Thanks for your responses. Looks like we'll need to go to New York. We live in Ohio and OH reports to NY. We might as well make a little vacation out of it. Neither me nor Lisa have ever been to NY. Have to gobble up some good food while were there. I guess i should check to see if we need to make an appointment or if we can just walk in.

    Thanks

    Clare-n-Lisa

Just walk in, no appointment needed.

  16. We sent Packet 3 supplement page in package 3 to NVC. We did IR1 EP. But at my interview, they asked for it again. I gave the original one to them. So prepare one copy for interview.

    Plus:

Bring orignal marriage certificate (red book). Two of her photograph, medical report, and anything else original in her P3.

  17. Packet 3 supplement page - that was collected at NVC, and is used at GUZ IV prior to interview day (cause it's in the casefile, a VO will review it prior to interview day)

IMO, it's not needed ON interview day, at all.
