  1. Hello folks hope all is well with you this afternoon :) I just wanted to let you know that i got a letter from the USCIS asking me to submit the medical examination I-693 cause the form i submitted with my application has expired ! at least this means they are working on my application , i am wondering if any of you that got similar letter I want to know what kind of tests they ask for and when you submit the sealed envelope , how long does it take to hear from the USCIS ?

Appreciate your help in advance :)

  2. Everything is going to be alright and we will get this GC sooner or later. Tell your husband no matter what, he can have driver's license and EAD and life is moving. No matter what it is better that Morocco. Tell him to have faith and satisfy of what he have now.

Her husband is not from Morocco :) I am from Morocco and i replied to her and it seems you confused my profile with hers lol Lhamdu li Lah i know that everything will be alright and whatever will happen is what is destined to happen by God's willing .

  3. I told my husband about them sending the ead renewal card. He is not happy. He said he probably wont get his greencard till next year. Last thing we need is a notification that a new medical is required. He says its because we live in texas, and there is a bunch of illegals here and that is why the case is delayed.

It has nothing to do with Texas or illegals , unfortunately it is just the way it is everywhere in the states , they say that they have small budget and shortage on personnel !! Which mean they have few people taking care of thousands and thousands of applications !! I am in Maryland and i was waiting for a whole year !! I hope we will get the GC in the coming month !1

  4. i filed in may 2014 got the waiver letter september 10th, and had to renew ead. I am still waiting for approval for i485. You filed in July 2014 and was approved sooner. We have been waiting 12 months. There is no logic to uscis madness!

I am not approved ! I am still waiting just like you and i have just put my fingers today for my EAD renewal cause it's gonna expire Next month ! hopefully after one year (counting from July not April ) I will have my GC :(

  5. Well from what I have observed, some of those that filed in March and April were lost in some type of Bermuda Triangle Vortex and they are now slowly emerging from the Abyss. USICS seems to be trying to get those filers caught up. We filed April 1st and just got an RFE on May 8th. So you should hear something soon.

I hope it is not as you say lol or we will never hear from them , as i recall nothing that was caught in Bermuda has ever been recovered lol I wish us good luck :)

  6. Thanks to all of you guys for your answers , it really helps to hear from you guys and to know that some people are sailing in the same boat with me :) I wish and pray that we will all hear good news very soon .

JanetandAdonis : Yes i got a letter of potential interview waiver July 10 ,2014 . told me to wait 6 months and if i do not hear from them i then can contact them ..that is what i did but in vain :( same answer wait until we make a decision and we will contact you ..Then i did an online inquiry and i got a letter and it has the same answers i got before !!

what difference does the potential interview waiver make in an AOS decision ? are these people who are getting the GC sooner are the ones who did not receive a potential interview waiver letter ? !

  7. No the interview waiver cases stay in the NBC. I have the same Timeline as yours and still didn't hear anything. It starts being ridiculous...Just applied to renew my EAD and requested an AP...

Salam labas 3lik ? I got my EAD in June last year and it is going to expire soon in 2 months , I just started the application to renew it :( more money to spend man !! I was planning to request an AP as well but then i changed my mind because i am afraid i will not be able to reenter as i always have such bad luck !! so i don't want any other complications , though i really need to get a huge work in my teeth that are causing me lots of issues lately and it costs a fortune here , if you know what i mean ?!

  8. Hi guys , hope all is well with you . I have a question about Advance parole , i am trying to get an infopass appointment for an emergenct AP , i am trying to figure out which type of appointment should i select ? !

They give you 5 choices ! I do not know which one to pick up ! Can you please help me if you have an idea about this procedure ..Thank you

    These are the choices :

You are a new Permanent Resident and have not yet received your Permanent Resident Card
You want to file an application in person
You need information or other services
    You need a form.
You are a United States Military Member, Military Retiree or a Military Dependant
  9. Oh wow, how awful! Have you received anything saying at least where your case it??? Like a SR or RFE??? I do think the there is one other on here that has a filing date on March 8th 2014, I believe.

Congrats Movinon :) I am glad you are moving on with your case :) The thing is that i filed April 10,2014 and got the Interview waiver July 10 , 2014 !! Nothing happened until now ..I am not even sure where my application is , in which center !! The only thing i know after i sent an E-inquiry is an answer from them asking me to wait and it was from Santa Ana , California !!

Maybe the nationality of the beneficiary make a difference in the process of applications !! I do not really know how things work !

Anyway there is no other choice but to wait , wish you all good luck :)

  10. To tell you the truth i really don't know how this works ! I cannot keep up with them . I had my application at the NBC , after 8 months i sent and e-inquiry as i mentioned before and i am getting a letter from Santa Ana , Cal !! I do not really know what will happen , it is almost one year ! I am just hoping to hear some good news from fellas who has filed the same time as me ! I am in Maryland state !!

Does the state make a difference ?

  11. Hi guys , hope all is well with you and hopefully we all will hear some good news . I just wanted to share with you my timeline and the last update i got from immigration about my I-485 after an e-inquiry about my case being outside of normal processing time .

My filing date was April 10 , 2014 . In July 10 , 2014 i got a waiver and was asked to wait 6 months and contact them if i dont hear from them . My application was in Nebraska and after the inquiry i got the letter from Santa Ana , California .

They say that my application is currently pending adjudication and we regret that we are unable to provide you with a completion date at this time ...

I dont know what it means but i am sure it means shut up and wait lol

  12. Thank you so much to all of you for your answers :) Now i know i will have to wait few more months ! because i checked I have seen that in Vermont center they are still working on the AOS cases of May !! My question now will the waiting years for the green card before the decision be considered in the green card validity when i get it ? or the validity of the green card starts the day they make the decision ?

    Thank you

  13. Hi there folks ,

I hope that all is well with everybody here . I am here to ask some questions about AOS and wishing that i will hear some answers that i couldn't get through the official offices of immigration because all i had is numbers with monitors !!

That is my situation , I have applied for Work permot and AOS after i got married here after i came under Visa fiance . After 2 months i got my work permit and was asked to wait for my AOS application 's decision . Then after another 4 weeks i got a letter from the US department of Homeland Security the National Benefits center located in MO in July 10, 2014 , letting me know that the USCIS has identified my application as a potential interview waiver case which means that they may not need to interview me to complete my application. And it says also that my case is currently pending. ..and that due to workload factors not related to my case , USCIS anticipates a delay in completing my case , and that presently , they anticipate that the delay to be approximately 6 months from the date of this letter which as i mentioned was July 10, 2014 ..and they said if i do not receive a decision or other notice of action from USCIS by that date (which means after 6 months ) , I should contact the National Customer Service Center ...

Now the 6 months has passed and I contacted the NCSC in the number they gave me but all i got is a monitor that at the end said nothing to me but my case is pending !!

Were any of you here in that same situation ? if so what did you do ? how long did it take to hear your decision about your AOS ? and why is it taking so long ? do they have an explanation for that ?

Thanking you in advance for any helpful information
