  1. Love is not required

Thank you all for the advices ... we are trying our best with this. We planned to go with the K1 anyhow, but when the pregnancy question occurred we didnt know for sure if we can still go with this procedure regardless the fact that she will be pregnant. Now i see that we can just move on with our plans and pray that the process itself wont be too long. Thank you for all the help

  2. No, the K-1 is fine. Getting married is OK also but normally takes a bit longer than the K-1. If she has the baby(s!!) before the interview, then you will need to show that additional financial support. The stickiest part would be if she had the interview and then gave birth over there before coming here on the visa. I say full speed ahead, and why not ask for an expedite; it won't hurt.

What will happen if she has the baby before the interview? :( How bad can it affect the process? What is an expedite? And how/where do we ask for it?

Forgive me if these questions look stupid to you, but i am honestly new so i am learning.

Thank you for understanding and congratulations to all of you who already "walked the line" and good luck to those who are about to.

  3. Congrats to be......nothing can be done immigration-wise. That process runs at it's own pace and you can't do anything about it.

Can we go with the K1 process despite the fact that she might be pregnant or do we need to get married and go with spouse visa? How all this may affect the child? We are not looking into speeding the process or anything like that, we are just looking for the best solution because we are afraid things may get complicated if she is pregnant. We were ready to go with the K1 but now... we are on standby, so i am simply exploring and covering the bases.

    Thank you for understanding

  5. Mirko:

Under guides at the top of the forums there is a very detailed section that gives advice as to how to package everything for the K-1. I would say the majority of the people here who have filed K-1 without any oddball "issues" have been absolutely fine by following those guidelines. I did it word for word and had absolutely 0 issues.

Thank you for the advice. I guess we are just stressing too much over this whole thing and maybe we shouldnt.

Good luck on ur journey :)

  6. Hello ...

I have a question. My fiancee and i are about to start working on the K1 and we were wondering about the documentary proof. We are not sure how do we need to place this in the package? Do we put the copies in plastic bags, or attach them to paper ... please can someone help us with this?

thank you and good luck to everyone who is on the same journey :)

  7. I guess this topic could get split...

But to answer your question: I don't think it will have a negative effect on your K-1 application. It's a nice change from all the "we met on this or that online dating site", not that anything is wrong with that.

As long as you stick with the truth and have some supporting evidence, you should be totally fine.

Thank you for replying, i wasnt sure where to post it so i just stick with the same topic. I am still new with this and i am learning as i go. Our story is anything but simple :) i was just worried because sometimes people dont understand that love can take a course which was not quite well planned before. We have nothing to hide but i was scared that they may find it weird how our story developed.

We are about to start working on the K1 package, we are both confused and scared but we have faith when we see everyone around here, who got through it all and now they are together. VJ for us is not just a place to find answers but it becomes a place where we find hope.

A question ... can you help me with something? I need to post a question about how to sort out the evidence, i just dont know where to post it.

    thank you so much

  8. You and she haven't done anything wrong. Numerous times I have entered the US with a specific timeline and then changed my mind while I was here..... whether it was to shorten or to lengthen my stay. As long as your fiancee leaves prior to the expiry date on her I-94 she is legal.

Ouh thank you, i was so worried that i have messed things up. Now i have to ask something else because it is bothering me a lot. I dont know if this is the right place where i need to place this question, but if its not, please point me to the right spot. My fiancee (at this time) and i have met online. I was in the army at that point and we talked a lot. We were friends and that summer i went to visit her, nothing happened. At that time she also was corresponding with my mom, sister, cousins ... This summer we invited her to visit us and she came on invitation by my uncle, so at the entry she said "visiting friends" (me included). Now thats what she said at the embassy interview because it was true, at that point. Can this be a "red" spot for the USCIS or the embassy in Skopje when the k1 reaches them?

Its a long love story and it developed in weird way but what can i say? ... it happens :)

again , i dont know if im posting this at the right place, so feel free to point it out at me, thank you for all the help and support and Good luck to everyone who is on this journey

  9. I have the round trip ticket and will bring the . It's been very lonely for us which is why i decided to visit him and spend the holidays for 4weeks and fly back to Bahrain.

My fiancee is a student on the MBA in her home country so can that be considered as an evidence? When she came here this summer she planned to stay in for a month, but since we got involved and i wanted her to stay more, i convinced her to stay one month longer. When she was entering the US she said she plans to stay a month or so and that she was visiting friends (which was true at that point), and they let her admittance till january. Can this affect our K1 in any way??? I am scared i may have messed things up by convincing her to stay longer than what she said at the entry :((

She didnt want us to get married here and then apply for AOS because she wants everything right. So i let her go back :(

please someone tell me i didnt cause damage to our future

  10. The USC fiance(e) can visit you in your home country any time (am assuming US Citizens don't need a visa to go to Macedonia). If the non-USC fiance(e) wants to visit the US, then you defer to the suggestions provided by canadian_wife.

As a US citizen i dont need visa for Macedonia, but my fiancee has a tourist visa, the only thing that really scared us was if she would be able to visit me after we start the K1 process. Some people say that the K1 is much faster and the spouse process is more complicated. I plan to go there in December (second time),and i am thinking of getting married there. We dont know which option is better for us so we are little bit lost there. We dont want to spend too much time apart :( I am open for any suggestions you may have.

Thank you very much for the understanding and helping me out

  11. Hello everyone,

I want to ask if anyone knows how this process goes? We are still not married but we want to and recently we found out that maybe this visa is our best option?! We are wondering between k1 or spousal visa, we dont want to be separated for too long so we are looking into the quickest way. But there is a catch ... can my fiancée or wife visit me during this process?

I appreciate any advice you may have for me,

    thank you

  12. K-3 is a dead visa, you're looking to compar the Cr-1 spousal visa and the K-1 fiance visa

    http://www.visajourney.com/content/compare

Cr-1 is cheaper, and allows the beneficiary to work and travel when entering the US

    K-1 is slightly quicker

    Good luck

Thank you for the advice ... but forgive me for asking, what is Cr-1 spousal visa? Where do i find information on that part?

  13. Hello everyone

I have a question: After we start the K1 process, will my fiancée be able to come and visit me in the US on her tourist visa or she may have problems on the entry? And when she does, what is she supposed to tell the homeland security, because we all know that they can be hard to pass by. After we start the K1, do we get into the system and when she enters the US, homeland security will know her status??

How does all this go? She does not want to lie or anything but i really dont want to stress her at the entry.

    Thank you

  14. Hello everyone. I dont want to place my problems out on the open but i have no other choice in this case so i have to ask for help. I am a US citizen and my gf isnt. She came to visit me this August. The previous plan was for her to stay for one month but i wanted her to stay little bit longer and she did. So she was here for 2 months, left 2 days ago :(( . She was allowed to stay till January. On her entry however she was asked to go to a room where she waited a little bit and they asked her why she is here. She said visiting friends because at that time we did not date, so she didnt lie. And they allowed her to enter the US. Now i am wondering, how much time has to pass by for her to visit me again? She was here on a tourist visa.

Please help me, i really have no clue about this stuff.

    Thank you!
