Yes this is my first eid here in US. Offcourse i went to mosque today for eid prayer in chicago and it was a nice experience. The worst thing in US is i miss my parents like hell and some time i get cried u cant imagine how much some one misses parents when so much far. I am waiting for my work permit then i will start working here

Not at all. u just need to show the orignal nadra's issued birth certificate then they will return u the same on the spot. No need to come with a certified copy

Nothing special needed u just need ur passport and birth certificate and same for ur fiancee to get a marriage license from the county where u lives. The same day u will get the license then u will marry and the marriage solemniser will sign the license then return ur license to the county from where u got that. Afterward u can go to county and demand for a certified copy of marriage certificate

I used turkish airline becoz only etihad and turkish comes directly to chicago from dubai and istanbul. As you are using JFK your immigraton will be done at JFK then a connecting flight to chicago thats the reason why i have avoided qatar airways and paid 130K for one way ticket for turkish airline. I am living in chicago. US is absolutely a great place to live in im here since a month and i have visited many offices for administrative work e.g social security, marriage licence etc what i found is that US administration is highly professional and well mannered they are very helpful polite and nice i am totally in love with professionalism in USA. You will see the difference when u come here

When i arrive at POE the immigration asked just few questions like who sponsored you when are u getting married bla bla bla very general questions u dont worry its very easy. Best of luck for ur journey

As u asked i want to tell u that there is no way to expedite AP however during AP u will get update from congressman that where are u stuck which enables you to plan accordingly. For those who are in AP i would suggest them to wait for their time God is great so keep praying and stay positive.

Allhamdulilah got my visa today from amex..

Called DOS on friday 1 rep said congratz ur visa issued called again then rep said AP called again 3rd time then rep said its issued on June 13th and some representative dont look at K-1 visa screen so 2nd representative may have said AP in misunderstanding. Today june 18 still no call from Amex any idea ???????? Is DOS reliable

45 days since interview and i am still in AP

Yes they did keep my passport but i am shocked y they put me in AP or AR whatever. I am a chartered accountant working in Pricewaterhouse coopers since 5.5 years what the heck they want to know. CO said your case is fine and complete but we will issue u visa between 3 to 6 months. I am very disappointed

My interview is approved but the lady counselor said they need to do some security check which might take 3to 6 months and handed over me a green sheet.

Secondly tell me did u get ur I-693 vaccination record for adjustment of status. Many people get RFE for I-693 coz in the sealed envelop which embassy gives u to forward at POE contains on DS-3025 medical record.

I have already given my blood sample and x-ray as i mentioned in my earlier post. Now i am wating for Dr's appointment date which is may 6 for final report review
