  1. My wife's journey is almost done. Interview was on August 16 and she passed. Then we waited until today. USCIS was updated that the Oath Ceremony was scheduled. She will have her Oath Ceremony on Monday September 9. Joy of joys! We did the N-400 online, got her permanent green card end of January. It was long journey but it is finally done. Thank you guys for everyone support and help. Hang in there for those who still waiting.

  2. Hello All August 2017 filers,

We have been approved! We were out of town for the last three weeks. When we got home and  went through our mail we found the approval letter(dated January 15, 2019), then going through all the mail we found our card. Wow! We are in heaven now. We are CSC August 2017 filer, transferred to Nebraska Oct 18, 2018, applied N-400 Oct 16, 2018. Keep hope alive guys. It will happen soon.

  3. We were transferred to NSC from CSC in October too. We also got a letter that verified that and 2 18-month extension letters . I wish they didn't transfer us. It seems like no one from August 2017 filers that have been transferred to NSC have been approved. If you check Visa Journey's Igor's list under I-751 the last approval was back in 2009. Hopefully that is an error.

  4. Having an annulment does not always mean you are getting psychological evaluation. My fiancee(now wife) got an annulment but she did have that evaluation. Her medical was on March 18 and she passed her medical the next day. Then March 25 was her interview in which she also passed.

BTW, this was done last year.

  5. Great News JUNE Filers! We got our case updated yesterday with the following:

On October 22, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxxx. Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by December 21, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

We filed June 8 and NOA1 was June 17. Hang in there guys, yours should be coming soon!

  6. Just an update. Since I couldn't reach them by their phone number I sent a letter confirming that the check is for the fee of the ROM. After a week they called and left a message that they had already processed our ROM and sent the originals back to us. The day I sent that letter I received their letter so that means they processed the ROM even before they got my letter. What a joke......

  7. Hello fellow VJers,

This has to be one of the dumbest question I have ever heard. Let me set it up:

My wife came over here as a K-1 fiancee and we got married May 29th. After reading the Philippines forum it made sense to file with ROM to the Philippine consulate in San Francisco(since we live in Utah and SF is our consulate). We sent all required documents including fees, copies of all original documents including additional document-a true copy of her annulment and four copies. After four weeks some one called and left a message that we needed an NSO copy of the marriage license that shows her previous marriage has been annulled. So we sent the original and four copies of the NSO copy of the marriage license showing annulled. That was three weeks ago. Then yesterday we got another call from the SF consulate and she left this message: "Hello Mr. Jerry we received your NSO copy....bah bah bah bah. I wanted to asked you the check that has Mountain America Credit Union on it and is a cashier check of $25, it that for the fee to paid for the ROM? I just want to know for sure. Please call me back." #######! The check was written to Philippine Consulate General and was attached with the ROM documents and the cover letter also said it was attached. She told me to call back but didn't leave a number. And when I tried calling the consulate you can't get a live person. Supposedly, if you press 0 you will get the operator. But when I do the recorded message says "that extension is not available at this time" and sends you back to the main menu.

I am sorry I don't have any questions.......I just feel frustrated and just need to let out some stream. LOL.

  8. Hello VJ,

We are currently filling out the AOS papers. I am using the sample forms on VJ. I noticed that the sample form G-325A has different family names. Is this correct? For example: The first family name is SMITH but on the sample G-325A form under "Applicant: Print your name and Alien Registration........" Under the family name the sample shows Doally which is the maiden name. Is this correct even if I want to have her married name on the Green Card?

  9. We use Wells Fargo Bank because you can transfer from the US to the Phils; banks like BPI, Metrobank, DBO. And because I have a special account(direct deposit from pensions) with Wells Fargo that my cost is only $2 per transaction and send up to $3000 per day or $12,500 per 30 days. I have been doing this since 2010 with no problem.

  10. When is your interview? Maybe you will have time to receive your fiance's ITR. As for us our interview was on March 25 and the CO never asked for ITR, W2s or even affidavit of support. Maybe they won't asked you too. I have read here in VJ that other people too were not asked for ITR or affidavit of support. I hope this helps.

  11. Greenbaum,

Sorry I didn't get to you until now. The process at the Cebu office is basically the same. We just told them we needed a police certificate from Japan for a K-1 visa for the USEM and they did not asked for documents or letters(though I had my NOA2 letter for backup). You fill out some forms and then they have an address to get your fingerprints. We paid a fee for that but there is no fee to process the paper work at the Japanese consular office. She told us it would be about 2 months even though it says 2-3 months to process.

It is true that the process in Japan is fast but somehow it takes almost a month to get the letter to the Japanese embassy/consular office. My fiancee had to process a police certificate back in January 2011 and the police certificate was dated only 26 days later but we didn't received the letter until 2 months later. Too bad we had already opened that certificate......hahaha.
