So happy for you and excited about your upcoming oath ceremony! Matthew and I have been married for 5 months already (I can't believe how quickly time flies). Finally, filing AOS...hoping all goes smoothly. I continue to find answers to my questions in many of your posts....thank you so much!!!

I'm so excited for you. Your wedding day will be here before you know it. :-) We got married on December 3rd and we are SO happy. I'm praying all God's best for you!!

So happy that the interview went well. Matthew seems to be settling in very well. Although...being at home all day and not being allowed to even look for a job yet, is bothering him. But...he's keeping busy. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving...Matthew enjoyed himself...but is now sick of eating turkey leftovers...hehehehe.
When will you be moving to the States??

Just want to personally thank you for all of your advice and counsel throughout this process. Matthew had his interview in London today and was approved....what a relief!!! I'm sure in the days to come I will have more questions as we adjust his status, but for now...I'm just going to focus on our wedding. :-) Thanks, again, for all your help. :-)

My fiance had his interview in London this morning and he was APPROVED!!! I am SO happy!! I just want to thank everyone for helping us along the way. A big, huge thank you goes out to Nich-Nick for all the advice and counsel. I've learned so much from you. Best of luck to everyone else in your visa journey. It can be a long road, but keep focused and ask questions. You can do it!!

Congratulations!!! I got a text from Matthew about 30 minutes ago....he was approved also!!!

Best of luck to you for your interview. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and for my fiance. :-)

Yeah...November 20th isn't too far away and I'm so excited, and no....there will be no one to send us Tunnocks....hehehehe

Matthew's medical exam went very well. He said that the doctor and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Matthew had his medical at Bentinck Mansions. If your hubby is going to the same place, I have great directions, if you like.
I am getting so excited now...I'm hoping that Matthew will be here by November 20th, as his interview will be on November 8th.

Hi! When Matthew and I first talked about getting married, we had strongly considered me moving to Scotland, but then my mother started having health problems, and we decided it was best for me to stay here in the states and he could move here. I'm hoping to have him here soon. Best wishes to you as you start this visa process.

First, you must wait until your I-129F Petition is approved. Then, it will be sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). After they receive it, you will be able to call them & ask for your Case Number. If you don't call, you will still get a letter in the mail with the Case Number. Then, it will be sent to the Embassy in London. The Embassy will send you a letter with instructions for pac...

Thanks! You're timeline is only a day different than mine...so I would imagine that your NOA2 will be coming soon. Mine was actually approved on July 15th...but the USCIS website didn't indicate that (I've checked it everyday for weeks) and I just got the email and text message this evening. I'll be praying yours comes very soon! :-)

WE'RE APPROVED!!!!! I just got the e-mail this evening that says: On July 15, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). THANK YOU, LORD!!!!

I just keep believing that ALL things are possible. I know that a lot can be learned in waiting...but I also know that God can show Himself strong on our behalf, mountains can be moved and rough places can be made smooth....so that's what I'm praying for Matthew and I and I will pray the same for you.

From what I can see, it's taking about two months from the time you receive the NOA2 until you get an interview at the embassy in London (the embassy in Edinburgh doesn't handle these types of visas, unfortunately). So, if NOA2 comes this month...he might get an interview in September. But, if it ends up in October he can still get here by November.

The tentative date for our wedding is October 29th, and I'm still hoping for it. But a November wedding would be fine, too.
-
We're hoping to be married by the end of October, although we are flexible & can bump it back as needed. I still think it will be in the fall, so I have chosen fall colors. I'm printing my own invitations, so they are all designed and saved on my computer - all they need is the date & I can print them. We're getting married at my church with a small reception in the fellowsh...

Hi Sarahlee...just stopped by your page and wanted to tell you that I was blessed by the verse of Scripture you posted two days ago. HE IS ABLE to do more than we could ever ask or think. God has been so faithful to Matthew and I throughout the entire course of our relationship and now we are trusting Him for this visa process. I'll be praying for you and your fiance as well. God bless!

I had actually seen Matthew on a Christian dating sight, but neither of us had paid for a membership, so we couldn't communicate. As I was reading his profile, he mentioned the website for his blog, so I went there and read a few of the devotionals he had written. They really blessed me, so I left him a comment. He replied...and that's where it all started.
I live in PA, by the wa...

This is probably totally irrelevant to anything on this website...but I just had to say that I love the song "Caledonia". My Matthew sent me the song about a year ago...so now when I hear it I think of him. Thanks for sharing. :-)

I'm so glad that I found this site. I have learned SO much from reading posts from so many people. I admit that when I first started this process I was very overwhelmed. By nature, I am very detail oriented and methodical, so I had done a lot of research before finding this site. But what I find here is REAL and very practical. My fiance and I are waiting for our NOA2 now...but it helps me to be patient when I read other people's experiences and view their timelines. :-)
