  • Our Story
Me and Olichka (Olga) met at a camp for special needs individuals back in 2007. Slowly we started developing a relationship and boom before you know it we were living together deeply in love. Olichka had left to visit family because being a big family person and how it was so important to her she had to go home and visit for a little. While there she realized she was pregnant. Making a very long story short they obviously wouldn't let her back in so our beautiful baby boy Aleksander was born Dec20th 2010 in Ukraine. After dating for 3yrs and now having a child we decided it would be best to tie the knot and take the next step into marriage. STOP! Not before I take an 18 day trip to Ukraine to do DNA work which all came back okay!. While there we continued to get paperwork done for the K1 which eventually got approved! So the day finally came when I had to drive to JFK in NYC to pick up the 2 people I love most. Couldn't have been a happier day/weekend in NYC. We got married and did all paperwork but Olichka was denied a green card due to an overstay in 2008. They wanted to ban for 10yrs!? She eventually got a temp card to travel this past yr which expired in July 2013. She went home December 17th 2012 and was planning on coming back before the card expired but her grandfather is very ill and it was best for her to stay with her family a little longer (at least through the holidays). So currently my wife and son (Aleksander has dual citizenship) are in Ukraine. So now I am dreading the attempt to get her back even after 3 + yrs marriage with a 3yr old son who is already a citizen... I seriously don't even know where to start anymore. We've been through this seemingly 27 times all for a great girl who loves America and wouldn't abuse it in any way shape or form. It's too bad we need to feel stranded when all this girl is, is morally correct and has the work ethic and desire all would envy..
