Your not "bursting my bubble" because I have seen people go through hell with the last part of this process. I am aware of the trials and tribulations that lie ahead. However.. I choose to stay "cautiously optimistic" that things will go half way decently. Everybody's case is different, and with that said, nobody travels exactly the same road on this journey. So its anybodies guess on how things will pan out. My wife and I have already discussed alternate means of being together should this process become too much of a pain in the A**. In the end, home is where you hang your hat. The house, the cars, and everything else is material and replaceable. I would never be able to find a woman to replace her.

Ok, I will give my 2 cents worth.... I think if it were "ME" I would send the petition back to my SO in the US, have him put his John Hancock on it and then have him send it off. I am another one of those lucky guys that has to win the battle at the Ho Chi Minh City Consulate. So..... I would not take a single thing to chance. I had my papers prepared by a gentleman that is very experienced with this process. He prepared a very detailed 3 page cover letter that explained my intentions and was also much like a "table of contents" to everything that was enclosed. The petition was very meticulously sectioned and labled according to the cover letter and yes........ My cover letter had my name typewritten and signed at the very end.
