  1. We had a similar issue with our K2 daughter. She had to go to the Health Dept because of a positive TB test. The health department here (in Georgia), had her chest Xray done and determined it clear. They then put her on a regimen of vitamins and TB meds for nine months. They did a blood test every month, a short physical and gave her the next months meds.

At AOS the subject was never brought up by the IO.

Hi, can I ask if the meds are for free? How much did you spend for the whole proccess? Thanks..

  2. I just want to share our experience regarding visa status after interview. My hubby had his interview October 23, 2012 (Tuesday). Everyday he keeps calling US embassy but they told him to check back on Friday. We kept checking 2Go tracer online using hubby's MNL, passport # or UID but it says Invalid. He called Manila US Embassy on Day 3 (Friday) and they said his visa was printed yesterday (Thursday)so just wait for the email or text from 2Go. My hubby couldn't wait any longer so he called 2Go and VOILA!!! customer rep says his visa is already ready for pick-up at SM Mall of Asia!!! :) They gave him a CN (control # ) to check 2Go tracer/tracking and he did see that visa is ready for pick-up. Thus, MNL/PN/UID is not always reliable when tracking visas via 2Go website. Also, hubby did not receive any text from them. So it was lunch time when he called again and asked what time 2GO @ SM MOA is closing since he has to travel 5hrs to Manila and they said they are open til 10PM. In short, he got his visa on the 3rd day, October 26,2012 (Friday) and his flight for the US is scheduled on October 30, 2012 Tuesday....a week after his interview! Whew!

I hope you guys get lucky too with your visas! Wishing everybody goodluck. Our journey here on this site is about to end and our journey on our new life together will begin soon.... We have waited almost 3 years to be reunited and now our time has come! :D

This site has been really helpful to us specially VJ members' posts/experiences shared... It kinda gives us a guide or clue of what to expect and what to do/not to do. Hope this post helps! Just be patient and pray, pray, pray! Happy holidays in advance! :) God bless us all! :)

  3. 2go just delivered the passport. Its been 14 days! The 2go website tracer is useless. Up to now I entered the passport# or MNL# its still invalid. Go figure? :bonk:

So the USEM number I called was quite accurate. She told me it was released last friday Oct. 5 and expect it this week.

Hope you guys waiting for the VISA will have it soon.

Congratulations! YES I agree.. Passport # or MNL or UID is useless..what u have to know is the control number or better yet, call 2GO on DAY 3 after your visa interview. That's what my hubby did and he got his visa 3 days after interview. He has chosen visa pick-up at SM Mall of Asia. It is easier and you don't have to stress about your passport getting lost in transit or the delivery getting delayed. And choose pick-up locations that are in the mall like the one in SM MOA because they close at 10pm. There is more chance of you getting the visa on that day even though you get informed late. My husband called at around 9AM on the 3rd day and got accurate responses from 2GO representatives. :) We got lucky! Good luck everyone who's waiting for their visas! :)

  4. My hubby lives in the province but he chose to pick-up his visa at SM MOA. It is better to choose a location which is in the mall because they close late like SM MOA 2Go branch closes at 10pm so you have time to travel esp if you're coming from the province. My hubby called US embassy 3 days after interview to check regarding his visa status and they said the visa has been printed already on day 2 so he called 2GO and they said it is ready for pick-up... He got his visa 3 days after the interview. His interview was Tuesday Oct 23, 2012 and he got it Fri October 26, 2012. Typing MNL or UID in 2Go tracking is not always reliable. Try to ask for the control # from 2GO customer service rep. Also, their text feature is not always consistent. Good luck to all of you waiting for visas! :)

  5. My hubby tried using MNL and UID but it always says invalid. When he called 2Go main line 3 days after his interview which was Oct 26, 2012 (Interviewed Oct 23, 2012), the customer service rep said his visa is available already for pick-up in MOA and they gave him the control number to check in 2Go website and it did work!! Also, he did not receive any text yet from 2Go so it is always better to call them to be sure.

  6. Hi sacarabi... =) wow welcome to america :) :) pumunta kami new mexico last week on our way to texas for the fall break vacation. =) Yah you should get married in the Phils. As far as I know, as long as you're married na then you can petition your bf as soon as possible. Pero dapat kasal muna kayo. So if makakauwi ka sa pinas, go get married. It's ok if you don't have any tax returns as long as you have a joint sponsor. Ako nga eh, kakasubmit ko lang kahapon ng affidavit of support ng husband ko and wala akong tax returns to show. By the way, bumibilis ngayon ang processing sa SPOUSE of LPR... 4 months lang na-approve na case nga asawa ko and now we're applying na for his immigrant visa =) ang bilis.. So the next tym uwi ka ng pinas, pakasal kayo agad =) hehe.

Can I ask you something? How long did you wait sa manila bago ka na-interview? I mean from the time your case was completed in NVC, how long did you wait before your appointment date? thanks!

  7. great.. you are moving good with your case..

My AOS status is paid and I will send package on Monday.. will take weekend to prepare and recheck all things twice...

still no sign with IV bill.. send 2 emails of choice of Agent and today also send hard copy.. not sure whether nvc are waiting for hardcopy before assigning agent? I know some succedded in email..

    lets hope all goes well...

@homer: wow good for you... as for me, I'll be sending my affidavit of support only when I get hired in the company I'm applying to right now. It's just that I have no job yet and although I do have a joint sponsor, I still wanted to show some evidence just like an acceptance letter from the company even if I won't be able to show same tax returns yet. Hmmm I guess you'll be moving faster than I am then.. =) NVC haven't received the DS3032 yet from my spouse. Haven't got the I.V. bill either. Update me with the status of your case once in a while. thanks! =)

  8. Yes, AOS barcoded cover sheet goes with I-864.

Immigrant Visa Bill Coversheet goes with DS-230.

THANK YOU for the accurate response. =) can I ask one more question? Since I already paid the AOS bill and printed the cover sheet, am I gonna wait for NVC to send me I-864 affidavit of support form or just download it from the internet? It's been a week now since I last paid my AOS bill and still haven't received I-864 form from NVC.

  9. hey hi.. gr8 your case is flying and you will complete all your process well in advance.

It's common from NVC to start case processing in advance but interview will only be generated once PD is current..

I am still waiting for my case # from nvc.. how exactly you can see your case # on nvc website??

only way I know is by calling NVC.. it there any list on nvc website which listout case#?

Hey, sorry for the error.. I mean I found the # on NVC website and made a call last night.(24-hour automated recording to check case status).. Two weeks had passed since my NOA2 (approval) so maybe in your case, you can expect them to generate your case # in more or less 2 weeks.. =) we're almost in the same boat here. I'm just ahead of you for a few days.. but most probably, we will be receiving the packets and have the visa almost the same time. Well that is if we have the same embassy to apply at. My spouse would be applying in Manila Embassy (Philippines).. waiting times for interview dates vary by embassy.. ^_^

  10. Hi Homer4All... it's me.. =) do you have your NVC case # already? I received my NOA2 two weeks ago and found out yesterday (thru the NVC website) that a case # has already been generated for my spouse..My husband's PD will be current sometime this november yet they are already sending us the AOS and DS3032..Is it normal or are they sending it so soon?? Look how fast they're processing cases right now. It's so amazing! How's your case going? :)

  11. Hi.. just got my affidavit of support in the mail. As of the moment I don't have any income (zero).. I have never worked ever since. I was a full time student and graduated last year. I just passed the boards (Nursing) this month and as of now, still searching for an employer to hire me. My parents are the ones supporting me financially at present. Does NVC approve cases of petitioner (in my case, it's me) having no income (no previous tax returns)to show, but has a co-sponsor to file the AOS together with me? My parents are my co-sponsors since we live in the same household. Anyone here denied a visa for such reason? pls help.. thanks

  12. Good Day everyone!

This is my first post in this forum but I've been reading all your post since i filed my petition for my wife.

I filed my petition for my wife Jan. 2010, and we're approved and already have case number.

I have a 4 yrs old step daughter, can she come here in hawaii together with my wife?

    Thanks

I think you can! By the way, is your wife already in the U.S. now or is she still in the Phils..? May I know when she was interviewed at the U.S. embassy in Manila? I filed a petition for my spouse too last april 2010 and got approved this month. Please let me know.. Thanks in advance.. =)

  13. I am 10-year US green card holder. I would like to petition for my son whose tourist visa is expired. He came in the US when he was 13 with tourist visa. Now he is 16. I would like to know can I still file the petition I-130 for my son? I still have 4 more years to become US citizen. Do you know how long it will take to petition for my son.

I'm just worry about his illegal status would effect on the I-130.

Please help me. I am in dire situation.

    Thanks

If you will wait for 4 years before you become a U.S. Citizen, then chances would be : your child overages. I suggest you file his petition immediately since I-130 processing times for green card holders has been speeding up lately. It even took only four months for my husband's petition to be approved (I-130 F2A category: LPR's Spouse or child under 21 years old). I filed it last april 2010 and got approved this month. If you file your son's case, then probably next year it gets approved. The only problem you have is if he overstayed in the U.S. since you mentioned his tourist visa has already expired. If before it expired, he lawfully went back to the Phils then that would not cause a problem but if he overstayed there, then it's best you contact a lawyer. You don't wanna jeopardize your son's case.

  14. WOw.. thank you for the very helpful info... =) now I already have an idea as to how long and what things to prepare beforehand. I found your case similar to my husband's and at least yours is the most recent case (which is this year 2010) so somehow I could relate it to my hubby's case.. :) If I check back on my timeline 4 years ago, it took me a year from the time i got NOA2 to the time of interview..processing times were slow during those times.. You're so lucky you don't get to wait that long.. Lucky for me and my hubby too this time! :) thanks again for the info.. :) hmm I wonder how far new mexico is from arizona.. got a facebook acct? =)

  15. I am a GC holder (LPR)....The I-130 I filed for my spouse April 2010 and got approved by USCIS this week (received NOA2 in the mail). Can someone/anybody here who filed under the same category and who have already completed the medical exam @ St. Luke's and interview at the U.S. Embassy in manila give me an idea how long I have to wait before my spouse gets interviewed? I am aware that we will be receiving bills and packets prior to the final appointment letter. I just wanna know how many months more to wait so I would have a mere estimate as to when I will be expecting him to finally come to the U.S. Thanks in advance for those who'll reply to this post.. =)
