i arrived at jfk airport last week on an ir-1 visa.i didnt get any stamp on my passport at port of entry. i was only asked to sign and the the other port of entry process. no entry date on my passport,just nothing apart from my visa from embassy. beneath the visa it was written 'i551 serves as permanent resident for one year upon endorsement,could this be why i didnt get any stamp on my passport. my hubby called cis though and was told to expect greencard in the mail in three weeks time.

i need your inputs on this one please.

On my goodness! What is this am reading.admin processing again.why then did the embassy gave him a blue slip to pick up visa.this is so unfair and disgusting. I am very very sorry for the two of you. It shall be well,i pray they call him soon.

hello vj, i picked up my passport with my new visa in it along with the document to be presented at port of entry. so so excited,,thanks vj for the support. anyway,picking up visa was more hectic than the intterview,we waited for five hours,others were asked to comeback next week.isnt that strange,,well,im done!!

im glad to announce to you all that my visa has been approved and i will pick it up on 24th june. im so excited and dont know how to jubilate. thanks to all of you for your support and advise..i appreciate.

@Hadiza,,,,thank u,,hang in there and u will soon hear from the embassy.it seems admin process on women are much shorter than men. all the same we pray for the best results.

hello there,

after the embassy receives you case,it needs additional 30days or more to review it before sending you a call in letter to pick up your app package. in my case i called dos after 30 days and they told me the embassy has mailed a call in letter to me.uptil now i hae not received the letter. just after getting that info from dos i emailed the embassy and they replied within 7days with a letter asking me to present it at the gate before i will be allowed to get my package. i will advise you email the embassy right away bcos you will never receive that letter they claim they mailed.

the embassy invited me and told me administrative processing is complete but i nedd to bring a new medical report before i will be given a date tocome pickup visa.im going back on june 15th,,,,consular officer gave me a yellow sheet...

Thats awesome. they called me to come last last wednesday.i went and was told i need to get a new medical,my medicals is not even upto six months but she insisted i have to get a new one and bring it on june 15th before she will give me a date to pick up visa. hopefully yours will be well.

Hi all, i got a call from the embassy official and he told me to come on any wednesday at 7.30. I went today and a white lady probably the consular officer collected my passport and then gave me a form to answer.the ques were abt me,my spouse,my family,my add,have i traveled b4,my work,my education and all the questions were answered in the ds230 i filled,so why didnt they refer to it.i think they are trying to see if i gave accurate informations on the ds 230.she told me they will call me.what is this?

i went for my second interview today and consular officer told me my documents are in order but they need to do some security checks.really,administrative processing?im really down and have shed so many tears.when will this wait be over,infact im sick and tired of the whole process,we started this since 2008,i was denied and case was sent back,uscis reaffirmed and now adminstrative process.oh my god,,,,what should i expect,consular officer couldnt give me the timeframe.he said it will depend on washington,really

Within my husband's state pl ayed a good role .they sent emails to the consulate here in ghana.so now what ypu have to do is get an attorney and contact the senators ,they will advise u on what step to take! Thanks

My husand gathered more than the documents they requested and took it to the court with his attorney. The court approved it and uscis reaffirmed the case and forwarded it to the nvc.nvc has processed our case since the first approval so there was no need for the to do that again.therefore they forwarded it to the ghana consulate it got to the consulate and 30days later i was notified to come pick packet 3.that was in october 2010.so i had my interview on 28march this year! I thank you all for your time! @Mimi,,i got my birth cert since 2007 so i think yours will still be valid at thetime of your interview.the new birth certificate was introduced last year or 2! @JAprincess,,,it took the consulate 5good months to return my petition to the nvc,a month later after it got to nvc my husband was notified and that was when he filed the writ of mandamus,he couldnt have done thath without the help of his lawyer but i dont really know if one can filed alone.my husband
