With the fees we have to pay for K-1 Visa and then AOS/AP/EAD is there a proper way that I can claims these fees on my taxes?

If so which form and which section?

Find out what stage the cancer is in. If its stage 1 or 2 you might have longer time. If stage 3 it could mean a matter of months. In any case look into doing a Living Trust with you as the Executor of the Trust. His life insurance moeny can be designated for the trust and it will financially protect you during the long probate period to execute his will.

My Fiancee had a mild case of TB 6 years ago and was treated by her physician (she brought all documentation of treatment with her to medical) but from what I understand and what people are recommending here is that you should go to ST Lukes for treatment. If you don't, what will happen is that you will undergo 6 months of treatment at her local physician to then go to St Lukes who will then perform the SMEAR test (3 days) and SPUTUM test (2 months) on top of the 6 months of treatment. Why? St Lukes is responsible to make sure that you are TB cleared and if they didn't do the treatment than they won't trust the results provided by an outside agency. If you use your local physician you could be looking at up to 8 months total process time where if you use St. Lukes it will be completed after 6 Months.

I used MS Office Power Point and made a vertical line down the page and on one side of the line I had text that described the event in the pictures. We just went thru this ...You don't have to wait for your packet 4 to arrive to go to your medical. Once you have your Case number (NVC assigns this) and your file arrives at the embassy, you can go to St Lukes for the medical. If St Lukes puts you on SPUTUM Hold they will notify the embassy. Now here is a fact I learned. The smear test that you do the first three days of the SPUTUM Test if that comes back negative (You know in about a week) then you have about a 96% chance that your 2 month culture test will come back negative as well. Once the two months is up you call the hospital reschedule an appointment with the st lukes complete the physical in one day (if sputum is negative), once St Lukes says you have passed your medical, go online and schedule your interview.

I would withdraw your petition. Check your local area and see if there are any Filipino social associations. Maybe you might have better luck going to local association and participating in activities and maybe just maybe you will have a love materialize by what you have in common.

I would contact a manger at USCIS and see if they trace who touches the applications and if its recorded in a database log. I'm hoping that they do log which employees touches which application.

My Honey just received her VISA packet today so all of these are on my mind

She will be getting an International Drivers License so she can drive as soon as she gets here (I will have a few quick driver lessons : ) ) and while she awaits her DMV process. This way she has the freedom to get out of the house.

what about Magic Jack? Has anyone tried getting a local number for Magic Jack in the USA where they live and then ship the jack over to their relatives in the Philippines and a phone connected to the Magic Jack would allow your family back home to talk to you as if it was a local call and you can call them on the magic jack phone as a local call. Has anyone tried this??

As I say to my Fiancee, lets take the best of both cultures and make them our own. I have found the culture in the Philippines to be very warm and welcoming. I have been to places in America where I found the same. I have been to places in America to where you minded your own business and said very little. There is one culture difference I noticed I was doing that my Fiancee questioned me about soon after my first visit. If I was passing thru a crowded store and passing close to people I would say "excuse me" if I was passing them. My Fiancee noticed it and asked why? I explained that in the USA, things are more spread out and so we have a cultural personal space around each of us so its considered polite to say "excuse me" when passing through someone else's personal space. In big cities the personal space is much smaller and you don't really see this curtesy. The funny thing is while I was writing this I had a similar analogy for driving too...lol I love the beauty and the warmth of the Filipina culture.

We passed our K-1 VISA interview on 27 June and 2GO just tried to deliver the VISA packet today (13 Jul). Will be delivered on 14 Jul. Long time to process a VISA with no difficulties, no RFE...easy approval

We did call the Embassy on Friday and they said its in the processing spool.

We called on Monday and they said it was printed on Friday.

We didn't receive the email notice from the embassy about it being shipped via 2go

2Go never sent a notice that they have received the VISA packet and were going to deliver.

Fiancee had a letter to authorize other family members to sign for VISA packet, but she didnt hand it to family for we didnt know the packet was enroute for delivery.

so the short of the long story is it took 11 working days to finally receive info that our VISA packet was being delivered. If your VISA packet is taking time dont sweat the bullets ...it will come.

The +63 02 301 2000 for the embassy seems the best number to call for VISA packet info. You can even ask if your VISA has been printed and that means it will soon be on its way

We are doing her POE on 9 Aug and the Wedding on the beach 11 Aug and then do honeymoon : )

We decided on Hawaii because well its Hawaii ...lol But most of all it was about half-way for both of us and I could meet her after doing POE procedures with Immigrations.

After the Honeymoon we travel back to VA

Check with your State's Health department which over sees marriage licenses in most states as to what that states requirements are. It really varies a lot from state to state. In Hawaii: no waiting period, no blood test. Just proof of ID and eligibility to marry

Mine took almost 3weeks, picked up at 2go branch. Call the IV unit for the status and 2go once the embassy informed you it's with the courier already. It's best to call them rather than wait since mine was almost missed out if I didn't call, they told me it took too long due to "error on visa stamp".. They would have not expedited without my frequent follow ups after knowing there was an error.. Anyway, over and done with. thankful I got it at the right time
