Actually, we just got married and we are now trying to quickly file the AOS. We married 11/12/10. It's been 2 weeks and still waiting for the official marriage certificate. I got a zerox right after the ceremony from the judge. So, I'm moving in 2 weeks are going to need lot of help here to get this done. Happy!!

Can she do it herself? What does it have to look like? The birth certificate looks like a document with seals and pictures.

@Juliava.. haha, well maybe a little talent! Hopefully the birth certificate is on it's way. I'm still going to have to find someone to translate it locally. Which is fine. Although, I'm wondering if anyone bilingual can do that? Or if there is some special designation?

Just received confirmation that the US Department of state has received the J-1 visa waiver request.. now waiting on the magic to happen!

We wrote a new letter. I would first call the Embassy in DC. When you call you will get an operator and it may take a few calls until she puts you on the phone with someone. When she does the woman is pretty nice and will tell you what they want you to provide. You will tell her you want to request a No Objection Statement. In our case she said, I need you to write a letter to the ambassador, provide college records, and a letter from the family you are staying with. I'll email you ...
