Hi all,
We're celebrating! We still haven't received our N0A2 notification from CSC and our status is still unapproved according to the website...
BUT.... we just received an email from the Sydney consulate saying they have our approved petition and packet 3 download instructions.
Did we skip a step along the way? Is our NOA2 coming? Who knows! We are celebrating anyway - it's been a long wait (N0A1 June 11 and no touches since June 17).
Has anyone else had the same problem? Do you think it matters that we don't have our NOA2 hard copy and our status is unchanged?
How does the consulate have your email address?
-
LOL...The person that was approved is mine. It restores some hope. I don't care if it is an isolated incident. It makes me happy just the same.
did you update your timeline?
-
they are going to come up with the good ol " it has to be PAST five months mark" most likely, unless they have gotten a clue in the past week or two.
maybe so... but that wouldn't stop me from calling.
-
Same here - I still don't have mine. Today is exactly 5 months.
:(
Why don't you call them today... they say you can call at the 5 month mark.

June 9th NOA1
Oct 21st NOA2 Approved
you should fill out a timeline so Igor's list can track your approval w/ everyone elses...
-
It does look like they tend to have a rush after each dip. That's what I've been hoping for.
Me too! And if Aug looked like that, Sept has to be wayyyy worse in terms of approvals. Start the next rush of approvals NOW!
-
The USCIS just updated their trend information for August:
http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=6&office=2&charttype=1
that is interesting info.... I bet September will even be much less than August... one interesting thing is it looks like they got way behind last June 09 and then had a massive July 09 approving over 10,000. Hopefully after Aug and Sept, they will have another "catch up" month like that and we'll all get approved!

The CSC received 2,134 I-129Fs and only processed 971 (less than half of what it took in). Nothing left to say. The numbers say it all.
where are you getting that info?
-
I have, but I'm not sure I understand how to read it properly. I'm here right now: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?cfl= and it shows someone (David and Kezia)got their first NOA on Sept 1st and their NOA2 on 10-14 from the CSC. How can that be true if they haven't even processed June, July or August? There is another couple as well (Todd and Aiko) who received their NOA1 7-26 and got an NOA2 8-23 when no one was getting approvals.
David and Kez were technically a July NOA1... read there story... USCIS screwed up and they didn't get it until 9-01, but should have gotten it in late July. I don't really get it either... they "seem" to go in chronological order but sometimes it looks like they go out of order too?
-
What?! No way. They haven't done most of June yet, why would they jump to July 14th? Gah, this is crazy. Where did you see this?
It actually says June 14, but that is wrong too as most people in early June haven't heard. There is actually one person in June saying they sent, got NOA1, RFE, and NOA2 all on the same day (like June 18)..
I'm sure that is throwing things wayyyy off. Check out Igors List.
-
Both Aug and Sep, CSC almost comes to complete stand still...
let's hope for a + change this month.
At least we know that "when" they do start working again, they will start w/ June filers... since everyone from May and before have gotten decisions.
-
hope the CSC pick up the pace this month......
USCIC (and gov in general) have a fiscal year end of 9-30... Soooooo, maybe they slowed in September because of year end stuff??? We'll see...?
-
Not to continue to poor salt in the wound, but I am at day 105 today. Processing has slowed significantly and there are many many, members who here who filed in late may/early june with nothing yet....it sucks, and its hard to be patient, but thats all we can do.
Almost all May filers have been approved (see Igors list)... it appears that they just stopped at June 1 ???
-
Well folks my fiance just got approved with the K1 tonight or today in Manila. Wow after all the headaches and long chatting and phone calls and documents she was actually approved really easy. Now we have to find out when the approved visa expires I guess typically 6 months. Is that about the right assumption?
Well anyway I can relax now knowing all the hard work is done now the challenge we face if she will like the states.
I want to thank this site for helping and guiding me with some of the paperwork needed to make the process smoothly.
Best of luck to all the future couples and hang in there. Its hard but it will be all worth it when you finally get approved.
Im going to drink now and get wasted lol.. j/k.
Congrats! It looks like you don't have a timeline... that is the only thing that can keep this site somewhat accurate. Could you fill out a timeline.

Wait CSV told my fiance that the Fiance Visa will take 5 months even on USCIS time line. I really don't know who to believe is it really 6-8 months or 5, which is it? Hopefully, its all worth the wait and that they would let us be with our husband coz this is really hard for both parties of not being together. PRAYING for all of us. God Bless.
USCIS says up to 5 months to receive a decision... meaning NOA1 to NOA2. That does not include packet going to NVC and then Embassy and then Interview. But if you look at all the previous filers, getting your NOA2 usually is around 2-4 months.
There is def a stoppage or something... because if you look at the May filers almost all have gotten their NOA2 by now (2-4 months they waited)... but almost none of June have???
-
will not be any problem in Spanish, because you also need it to exit the airport .
mine is in English... don't know if i need one in Spanish too?
-
yes...you WILL need parental consent....IM WORKING ON THAT TOO!
do you know if it needs to be in English or Spanish?
-
is parental consent always needed for the K-2? specifically panama

I had to change my beneficiary's (fiancee) address recently... so they sent me a brand new I-797C saying they recived my petition and this NOA is dated 8-27-10, yet my original NOA1 is dated 6-29-10. Did I lose my place in line? There is something called a priority date on the new I-797 too that is dated 6-23-10??? Hope I didn't get bumped into August filing?
-
I am getting all of the paperwork gathered for filing, and it's coming down to missing my fiance's signature on the G325A and the Letter of Intent.
What's the easiest way to get a signature from him on these, being that he's in England and has NO access to a fax machine???
Thanks!
Amanda
I am using a company called easyfiancevisa.com and they told me i could use my fiancee's scanned signature (so i did)... I am sure original is much more safe though... hope they are right! But I did find this memo from USCIS below stating that they are to continue processing even if the g325a didn't have a signature and it will be obtained at the embassy if needed. See link.

are you sure , because what if they do a criminal check, and they see this on my record, and they see i didn't mention it ...
thanks -
IMBRA provides that a petitioner for a K nonimmigrant visa for an alien fiancé(e) (K-1) or alien spouse (K-3) must submit with his or her Form I-129F information on any criminal convictions of the petitioner for any of the following "specified crimes":
Domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and neglect, dating violence, elder abuse, and stalking.
Homicide, murder, manslaughter, rape, abusive sexual contact, sexual exploitation, incest, torture, trafficking, peonage, holding hostage, involuntary servitude, slave trade, kidnapping, abduction, unlawful criminal restraint, false imprisonment, or an attempt to commit any of these crimes.
Crimes relating to a controlled substance or alcohol where the petitioner has been convicted on at least three occasions and where such crimes did not arise from a single act.

Hi Everyone ,
so, i am wondering if i should put this in my application ... ( k1 visa ) ..
I have 2 arrests for possession/consumption of alcohol when i was 18 and 19 years old , in 1990 and 1991 ..
do i need to mention this as a criminal conviction ? i had to pay a fine, no jail time or probabtion or anything like that .
thank you !
Don't put it down... this is immaterial.

It is indeed very frustrating. Nothing seems to move. Our NOA1 is dated July 6 and we haven't been touched since July 12. I try not to worry about it but it's true that I put my hopes up high since some May filers got approved so quickly. I wish I knew whether I will have the visa in hand by the end of the year. Would make things so much easier with quitting my job, the appartment etc.. But I better forget about it
. Best of luck to all of us, maybe some miracle will happen and they will speed up
.
Looks like they are getting into June based in Igor's list:
In February, they show 88 NOA1's submitted and 76 have received NOA2 (86% approved)
In March, they show 138 NOA1's submitted and 115 have received NOA2 (83% approved)
In April, they show 103 NOA1's submitted and 85 have received NOA2 (83% approved)
In May, they show 77 NOA1's submitted and 62 have received NOA2 (86% approved)
In June, only 5 of the 65 NOA1's (8%) have been approved thus far...
In July, there is actually one lucky person out of 61 who received NOA2 (in 10 days!! must have been expedited)
In August, there are no approvals yet out of 31 NOA1's.
Hang in there...
Also, in April and May, approximately 1/3 of the people who had not gotten their NOA2, had RFE's.

I believe you are looking at the wrong info. We are talking about IR1/CR1 visas and not K1 visas. For IR1/CR1 visas not many have been approved. Only a handful of them.
Oh, the post just said "NOA2" so I was referring to K1.
