I got the transfer letter a few days ago and it went to CSC. When I opened the letter, I just looked at it and "Oh" and filed it away with the rest of my paperwork. Never thought about it again until I saw a thread dedicated to it. You've already got the one year extension letter, so just kick back and let it ride.

The Social Security number field is blank on the ASC appointment notice that I recieved also.

We were married in Moldova, and my wife kept her maiden. No problems anywhere in the CR1 process. She will be here tomorrow.

On my last flight back to the states, there was a couple in the other line who had opened their envelope. The officer ripped them a new one, scolding them like you would a 5yr old. I don't know what the end result was, but very embarrassing on their part from what I saw. Tell the genius he/she is an idiot.

Thanks. Charles any other questions. And how did they know how often you visit by the way. And I definitely know they want to make sure the petitioner can support the beneficiary. I saw them deny a lady filing for her 10 year old.
They knew because they had every page of supporting evidence that I had sent to the USCIS when I filed the I-130. They had the information, but they asked her how many trip I made and the dates anyway. She didnt know the exact dates because they were spread out over a three year period, but thats understandable. questions about how we met, why we decided to marry, what I did for a living, how she feels about moving to another country, what my mothers name was, and how i could make so many trips. That was it.

Even spousal interview can go in any direction.
They pretty much ask the same questions on Fiancee or Spousal interview about relationship. In both cases you have to proof that your relationship is bonafide.
They asked my wife how I could make so many trips and stay so long while holding a job. Valid question, but you just never know what they are gonna throw out there. I also wasnt aware that all of the supporting evidence I send in at the USCIS would be forwarded to the consulate. (good thing) My wife reieved every page that I had sent when she picked up her visa.

She recieved the visa, and all of the supporting evidence that I sumbmitted at the USCIS stage. I wasn't aware that USCIS would send the evidence to the consulate. I could have saved $280.00 in Fedex fees sending an exact replica with additional evidence dated 10 days until 10 days from the interview date. But its over now and we are happy about that.

She will be fine, I had a similar layover at O`hare. Also , when she waits in line for immigration she can ask people in front of her if they have a longer layover and they might let her go in front of them. Some people did it when i arrived and it worked.
Thanks, well, she will arrive at O'hare at 7:00pm. so I'm hoping things will have thinned out by then.

Well, I have the itinerary. She will arrive at O'hare, but the best I could get was a 2 hour layover without putting her arrival too far from today's date. It will be a tight squeeze for sure, so we will see. I know the TSA"s could care less about your departure time.

If you want to be safe and not have to sweat adverse events, try for a 4-hour layover.

I work as an airline employee and have traveled internationally a lot, so by my experience, it does depend on the day, and time of day. I have gotten thru in as little as 5 minutes or as much as 20-25 minutes. Now for someone that CBP will need to interview, I would add more time then this. They also need to account for retrieving luggage going thru security again and then finding their connecting flight. If it is at the same terminal or at a different terminal.All in all, I would allow at least 2 hours and 3 if possible. I would think, the last thing you want a new arrival to do is panic about the time. I know, I always feel much better, knowing I will have time to get to my gate in enough time. Also, the original departure flight could be delayed. Give them plenty of time so, there is no panic.
Thanks, I don't have a POE point for her at this moment, but 3 out of the 4 times Ive arrived at O"hare. Thanks, I'll try and find a 3 hour gap at POE.

How much layover time should I look for at POE, so that my wife has enough time to get through immigration? I'm buying the ticket tomorrow.

My wife has been approved her visa. I can still sign in to the portal. SIF is Unreliable. Always call.

My wife went for her interview yesterday for a CR1 visa. At the end of the interview, They told her everything was fine, and to come back Tuesday to pick up her papers. They did keep her passport. I think my wife was expecting to hear the words "approved" but she didnt get them. I dont think they would hav kept her passport and told her to come back so quickly if there were any thing wrong. This embassy returns passports the following day with visa inside, but we have the weekend to get through.

Many of us have or are relying on "Sign in failed" to determine wheather or not our case is complete at NVC. Today I have recieved an email from the embassy in Moldova informing me that they have recieved the petition and reaffirmed the interview date. I can still sign into the NVC payment portal. Maybe this is something that they have stopped doing, will do later, or have simply looked over it. Either way, I thought this could be helpful in some way by bringing this here.

Money receipts are absolutely an accepted way of showing ongoing relationship and approved by the USICS..
lease also send her proof of relationship. This is very important. Send copies of all emails, chats and messages to show evidence of your true love. Send actual copies of the emails,etc. not a list from in box. Also send copies of cards, letters, phone records, receipts of money sent, receipt from engagement ring, ticket stubs/itineraries from subsequent trips and pictures together.
Straight from USICS and my Lawyer. Also all of my friends who are married to women that came over on either K-1 or K-3 Visa had them as evidence.
Agree, and done the same. If you have it, send it. Build on it while your waiting for the interview and throw the rest at them when he/she gets there.

You can type all the info into the fields and even type her name and date in the signature area. Thats what I did and no problems.

Maybe your medical only has two months validity remaining?
