KingsWife got a reaction from CJO032418 in Declined Visa in Lagos
Well,we had all kinds of proof, phone records, emails, itinerary for all 4 trips to Nigeria, pictures, letter from friends and supervisors at my job etc..even letters from the Congressman's office on our behalf and were still denied. My husband and I are as real as real gets..and Lagos is just one of those places where you can never tell.I was with him for his interview, sat outside for 6 hours, they asked him about the difference in our race and about our age difference(which btw,is only 6 years)and the guy just gave him the basic "for Immigration purposes" letter. I have since contacted the consulate and after they originally told me in person in Lagos when I went to ACS it would be about 30 days for his app to return to the states, they now emailed me and said from 3-4 months before it gets returned to the states.I wish there was a way to have another interview scheduled while its still in Lagos.
In any case God knows the best time for us to be together and we will keep proving our love and dedication to each other, afterall thats what marriage is all about.Never giving up!

Thank you for the all the comments,I am a Christian woman married to a Chrsitian man and we have alot of faith. Also,we have more than enough documentation to support that our relationship is real.Neither of us has ever filed for or by anyone else and the people that I "do" know of that have been denied, for the most part was due to some kind of suspicion or affiliation with other "problem" couples which we do not have. So,in trusting God's promise to us, I will believe that all will be well and my husband will finally be here with me soon. Thanks again!

KingsWife got a reaction from Ebunoluwa in How long does it take to get a second interview date?
I was also in Lagos on August 18th for my husband's interview and was outside as well.It made no difference at all,my husband even asked the interviewer if they would like to speak with me and he said it wasn't necessary. However,I do think it makes a difference somehwhat for them to know that you(the US citizen) has made the attempts to come to Naija. I have been to Lagos 4 times in the last 2 and a half years so they know that MY feelings are real. Its all about the Nigerian spouse proving THEIR feelings are legit. My husband was also given the standard letter, that stated the application was being returned to the states with a recommendation that it be revoked. We have not received any emails regarding this yet but I have,as well as my Congressman's office have been in contact with the Consulate and we have been approved to have his intervii=ew rescheduled.
Hopefully, this will be our last step!
