  1. I have filed for an extension for my 2010 Income Tax returns and was a full time student and did not work the year prior so I had a additional sponsor fill out the AOS as well as myself, and she provided HER tax returns. Our case has been approved through NVC and forwarded to the consulate, should I expect to be required to provide my own tax returns even though I have filed an extension,or should the additional sponsor's returns be good enough??Any ideas??Thanks.

  2. My husband is about to do his medical and I read somewhere that he should bring 2 photographs, his passport and of course, the form for the doctor. But I also recall seeing something about him being required to bring proof of immunization..??The only immunization he has had is yellow fever as he has the card,so wouldnt the DOCTOR administer whatever other vaccinations he will need to come to the states??I'm confused..Thanks.

  3. I agree,it is a very difficult and trying process for a couple.I have been dealing with Immigration, first with a fiance visa and then we got married so now with a spousal application. It has taken now almost 2 years and we are still waiting, even after involving a Congressman's office and a request to expedite; That being said, my husband and I have realized that God's time is the best and if it takes another two years,I may go crazy! But I will still be here,it shows just how much a relationship can with stand and will make it stronger in the end if you can hold out. 4. I'm sorry, I dont mean to be discouraging but my I-130 has been processing for over 1 year already.I ended up having to get a Congressman's office invloved before it was finally moved to NVC. Now we are in the final steps hopefully, and they say they have all the information(Application,AOS, police certificate, marriage certificate, passport etc.) they need and all the fees have been paid.God willing, they will be sending us an interview date shortly.I have been to Nigeria 3 times already and was told that you cannot file in Nigeria, you must file in the U.S.so thats what I did, more than 1 year ago:(

    Best of luck to you!!

  5. "With respect to immigrant visa (family, employment, etc.) cases pending at the National Visa Center (NVC), it is possible that they would continue to be processed as NVC’s staffing funding was under contract."

***I found this on a site called Capital Immigration Law Group LLC..dated today 04/08/2011****

dont know how accurate it is but gives me some hope:/

  6. Yes, you can...

If you have a friend who is willing to do that, then yes. I had enough hassle trying to get someone to 'commit' to the affadavit of support for our little K1...

Alternatively - family members, if not your friend.

Thank you and yes,I do have a friend that has offered to help us.So,would I just have her do it instead of me??Is that going to appear strange to the Visa people??

    yes you can.

Thank you,I hope this will be acceptable for the Visa people,we have been through 2 visa processes in 2 years and I have made 3 trips to Nigeria and now I have no assets,no savings..I live paycheck to paycheck:(

    yes you can.

    Thank you.

  7. I have filed the I-130 for my husband and it has been approved and sent to the NVC for processing, what I would like to know is,Is it possible to have a friend file the afadavit of support on behalf of my husband instead of me??..I have been at the same job for more than 1 year now but before that I was in school full time and could not find work,I was actually getting state assistance for a while and I know this is not going to help prove support for the previous 3 years..Any advice or ideas,please..
