  1. I saw that too! I'm secretly hoping that I'll get one of those letters in the mail on Monday ;-).

getting touched doesnt mean anything, a lot of people get approved and go through the process without there case ever being updated on the website.

you all should check britishexpats.com its the best website for visa stuff, go to the right forum, and you will see what i mean.

    that is a link

  2. Add us to the list of August filers who have been transferred to TSC. Fingers crossed that this is good news for us all!

so we got transferred to texas on november 2nd

with the update saying your case was transferred to texas

then our case was touched on november 10th saying it has been transferred.

I hope they have not transferred us again?

and again why are there no texas processing times on this website, only california and vermont????

  3. Now I'm Pissed Off (but happy for people who got approved)

just check the Igor's list... and guess what... from late August filers -

Michael and sanmao and Colleen and Rowan

both of them got approved... and rest of us got transferred...

way to give us the shaft CSC :bonk:....

    JP

I can't believe people who filed after me, have been approved on the 2nd november, and I got transferred.

I know we are not near the 5 month stage, so can't worry to much yet.

  4. Well I got the email last night...

On November 2, 2010, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to our TEXAS SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action

Hoepfully this will be good news and they will approve loads of application.

    Take Care

    JP

me too my case has moved to texas......

does anyone know anything about texas, and the service center there?

  5. I think while your papers are still at the Chicago lockbox, this is the priority date, once

correct Service center receives them, it's NOA1 date, but this is just my thought.

I can't figure it out, suppose it doesn't matter anyway, we all still have to wait a long time.

but to clarify, I definitely think the NOA is when USCIS mark when they sent the hard copy to the petitioner, and the priority date is when they put you in the system,so they would adjudicate the priority date, not the date they sent you the notice.

I am sure someone will shed some light, even still this whole putting your life on hold for a visa, is so frustrating, some people are lucky, and get there noa2 in weeks, or a couple of months, and some wait wait and wait some more.

I kind of feel like I can't make plans, for next year, to travel, work or anything, cos this visa is pretty much controlling the next couple of years. its crazy.

you get married, and your whole life gets inspected and picked apart, by the government, to see if they believe you and your USC are really married, and not just doing it for 'other' reasons.

and its something you have to go through for years until you hopefully become a citizen, and can just live your life without paperwork, visa's, fees and waiting around.

I wish they put this much inspection, time and effort into criminals they let back out into the community so easily!

Infact criminals don't even have to pay for lawyers, fees or forms for the crimes they commit.

sorry for the rant, bored of waiting, and its only been 2 months. :P

  6. Priority Dates for Family Sponsored Preference Cases

For family sponsored immigration, the priority date is the date that the petition is properly filed with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A properly filed petition contains the required signature(s), filing fee, and any supporting documentation required at the time of filing.

the above link is from the USCIS website.

I think you start count down using your priority date, my NOA1 form had receive and priority of 9th aug, and noa of 17th aug, i think 17th is when they sent noa1 in the mail, cos i did not recieve it on the 17th.

    does that make sense?

but some threads i have read show people who have the priority date blank,.......

  7. Hey guys... i have a question...

i just noticed that for my wifes bday i made a mistake on her G325 form... and the same thing on I-130 but on the second page...

i have already gotten my NOA1 and in that letter my wifes bday is correct... do i need to call them up or send them some other paper to correct this

    mistake...

    let me know guys...

    your help is really appreciated...

    thanks

You mean the letter they sent you shows your wife's birthday correct?

If that is the case, I see no reason to contact them, they seem to have spotted the error.

I am sure plenty of people make little errors like this, but it gets corrected along the way when they see your marriage certificate, and her birth certificate, I would not worry about it to much.

But someone else might say different...

  8. Hey loto what od you mean by Choice of Agent? Is it a selection on the form?

A choice of agent is a form they will send you, if you decide to have an attorney to deal with your case, or someone other than yourself or your spouse you fill in their details and send the form back to USCIS.

Most people just write the name and address of there USC, so all correspondence will be mailed there, makes it easier.

Its nothing to worry about, they will send you the form.

  9. um are you sure his wife sends him the original documents loto?, surely she will need this for her interview, and that link you sent, is what you need to be prepared for the interview, so really she needs to keep all the originals. I am pretty sure she won't need to send her police cert to her husband either.

All he would need our photocopies of the originals, or certified copies.

someone please correct or share there thoughts.

I could be wrong, but i thought the next stage is the usc preparing his tax returns etc, to show he can support her, and he only sends that when they write to him, he will need to pay some fees before sending this. once there satisfied he can sponsor her, then all the information will be sent to the embassy of his wifes home country, where she will attend an interview with the original documents to support her application.

Again someone please correct me if i am wrong.

  10. Just send in what you have, and label it all clearly, don't send in hundreds of pictures, but more pictures of you with your spouse with different backgrounds and clothes. Don't worry too much about names, just label what everything is, and when, where it was taken.

I sent one flight itinerary from me to the usa, one from my husband coming to london.

    Then 3 emails,

    our honeymoon flight itinerary

pictures, a couple from honeymoon, wedding, and family events.

so I included pictures of both of us with my family and as well as friends, and pictures of just me and him.

I did not send in everything, be selective, I am sure USCIS do not want a hundred emails, skype chats, and a dozen photos to go through. Just enough to show a bona marriage, or evidence you have visited each other at least once.

and send in your flight itinerary, because it shows you going to see her in her country, me and my husband did the same.

hope it helps you a little

by all means keep researching other peoples evidence until your satisfied in what your sending, its your petition after all.

  11. Yep looks like we are all recieving our NOA1 at about the same time, lets hope the next stage isn't too long, please watch this thread, and add any correspondence from USCIS you may get.

I am just looking at the I-184 form my husband will have to fill out, to see if its straight forward or not.

good to know there are others who live in the U.K and not doing DCF,

I have also registered online at USCIS to receive updates on our case, enter your case number and it tells you what stage it is at.
