Had our interview on Thursday and all went well.......the officer said that all looks good, he just has to check through everything but if its all there, we are approved and can expect the green cards in the mail!

Today after 80 days of trying to get all the paper work together for our RFE, we finally sent it out. What a relief but fingers crossed that they are happy with it all. I read other peoples ease with this process and I'm quite envious, ours hasn't quite been that nice. Because of the delay, I've been in the country 8 months and i still don't have my EAD, the sooner I get that, the sooner I'll feel like I'm getting my life back to a little bit of normal!!

Quick question for my VJ friends....Its been about 3 weeks since we got married now and I'm just getting ready to lodge the AOS papers....Do I have to lodge mine and my childrens papers application together?? I'm asking for finanical reasons!!

just remember to write seperate checks....apparently the immigration guru's get all flustered if you put you and kids all on the one check....and they will send the entire pack of goodies back then you got another 20 bucks of postage to send it back to them....my k1 ran out in mid November and I didnt send in the AOS until last day of December....Have heard of longer timelines....so dont stress....hope all goes well...keep in touch lyndal....

The consulate had to reissue my and my childrens visa's because they were incorrect.! 14 days til I fly out....i pray they'll be returned soon!

I got my Passports and Visa's returned today which I'm so happy about.......but on examination I noticed that my visa states my sex as Male (which is incorrect) ggrrrr....so I'm having to send it back for correction!! I've got 3 weeks til we fly out so hopefully thats plenty of time to have that corrected!!

HOOOOORAAAAYYY!!!! We are APPROVED! I'm so excited, feel very blessed and extremely relieved! Time to start counting down the days to be reunited with my honey!

I just wondered how anyone else feels about marrying overseas and the possibility of not having many family and friends be able to attend the wedding?

It is different I know and I only had my daughter and her girlfriend at our wedding as this is my second marriage, but the reason I left OZ was to leave all that behind me. We had a small intimate ceremony with just Waylands family and friends but I felt fine about it, they have made me feel so much a part of them from the word go it was just wonderful. And especially as I am the only white gal lol I have never felt more at home than what I do here and part of a family more than I ever did m...

Great point Junita thank you and Barb, I believe we'll end up having a similar type of thing. We've decided to not have a big reception (just a simple sacred religious ceremony) as I'm truly starting to feel like there are so many other expenses that need to be taken care of which are more important once we're married then to spend a big chunk of our savings on entertaining or feeding other family and friends at a wedding reception. Besides...I've always felt that a 'w...

Hey Cathey, we received a RFE because we forgot to submit MY G325A form (only my fiance Mike's was sent in with the I129F), and they said we hadn't sent photo's of Mike which was not correct bcos we had but they must have gone missing....once we returned that info, we had our NOA2 real quick and ball has been rolling quick since......Any news yet?

Sorry me again....lol, just wondering if you might know the answer to this question. My fiance Mike was previously married, he has already submitted his divorce papers (certified copy only) when we started this process but do you think I'll need a copy of HIS original divorce papers with me for the interview...i've read a few things and just want to be prepared as possible?
