  1. ...sponsorship is only for immigration not visiting.
A signed I-134 on behalf of a B2 applicant does help the applicant over come financial proof on how they will travel to the US and on what resources they will live while there. However, the I-134 does little to prove home ties to the applicant's country, thus this hurdle which can be the most difficult in many countries around the world still cannot be overcome by anything we the inviting USC's do or say.
  2. I must agree sending flowers to Russia is very expensive. In many parts of Russia in particular Siberia, roses don't grow naturally, it is too cold. So it all has to be imported. When I was there in the summer, one rose cost 100 rubles. In comparison to Sochi in the summer time it was only 5 rubles. But it is kind of sad that you can't just call a Russian flower vendor and make an order by credit card. While anyone in Russia could call our local florist and have flowers delivered at local cost without using any kind of agency or service, which are making a handsome profit.

We still continue to send flowers to their family through one of many online sites, but not for Valentines. For New Years. A small arrangement and champagne usually. And of course it comes to some thing around $50.

  3. I am little confused. I got the impression that the new forum was created because the old forum would corrupt and seize to work and thus were "all locked" to save the data. However, we are able to post in the old forums without any noticeable problems. I am not really technical with the computer stuff, but that does seem to imply that we could dump the new board and just go back to the old one and avoid all these transfer issues. Any thoughts?
